If you guys go to South Padre Island during springtime ( second and third week of April ) it's amazing how many Orioles and Tanagers and Warblers are showing up at these vacant lots right near the middle of the island it's unbelievable and a lot of Birders that live on the Island are setting up oranges , hummingbird feeders and suet bars for these Migrating Birds .
A very small bit like my Grand Cayman trip in November, though the anis there are smooth-billed (and they don't have scissor-tails, alas). Fantastic birds! Hard to say what my faves were but jealous of your storks. Aren't black-necked stilts so funny, too? They startled me when I first came across them (they were screaming, lol).

The birds are so beautiful and wonderful. Thank you for sharing! Our country also has many birds. Please visit! Wish you peace. Thank you very much!
Incredible footage yall!! And congrats on the groove billed ani. South Padre is a dream location for me!
Haha! 70-degree cold front?! If cold was only 70, I could survive it better. :D Great video, as always!

I’ve heard it’s soooooo good in the spring!
That was fun to watch! I hope you have a merry Christmas.
Thanks, Nathan! Merry Christmas to you too!
Congratulations on the wood stork, Nathaniel! We have them in SC too and I really like them. Looks like a nice visit!
It’s always nice to see a wood stork even if it’s not a lifer!
I just love all your videos and the trip vids are fun! I'm learning a lot from you guys! Thanks.
So happy to hear that!
I have some free time in early January and am planning on spending some time there, can't wait to see what shows up!
That’s definitely an excellent time to go! There will most likely be some rarities around then
Brilliant video guys. Really useful information. 🇬🇧 Definitely have to get to Texas . Many thanks 👍
You absolutely do! You’d have a fantastic time!
As you move towards the Equator, you will find more and more "birding paradises".
I think that’s true!
awesome video, dream trip for sure :0 looks like you guys made the most of it!!
It was a great trip! I’d highly recommend it!
You guys got me interested in going to South Padre last year and I went for 2 weeks. I loved it and can’t wait to go again.
Really glad to hear that!
What fun! The Wood Stork was amazing! A really rich area. Thanks guys!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Looks like a great place to go birding. I imagine a scope is essential for the shorebirds?
Not necessarily. It would have certainly been helpful though! Binoculars and cameras worked fine for the closer ones though!
Very epic very Texas
Such Texas, such epic

Yeah they’re total goobers!
Great video. I’m looking at heading to South Texas early next year. Looks like I’m going to need some extra days added to the trip!!
So many cool spots!
Ryan your Derek voice impression sounds a little too deep, but that does sound like something he would say.
