how do you manage to keep the same exposure settings when zooming in on the moon? whenever i do that, it just messes with the ISO and exposure and it burns the moon face, even if i set it to Manual mode and select a very low value for ISO and short exposure (or negative compensation in Av mode) - nothing seems to bother it, it just keeps on changing the ISO to whatever value it wants. it's really annoying...

I don't know exactly what blitz is, but I suppose you're referring to the flash. If so, you have to rise the flash manually. I don't see any problem with that in the long run.
No, there's no way the flash will pop up by itself. While the flash is down, it's always off. When you raise it manually, the auto mode will flash it or not if necessary.

do other cameras do this? like the ones that are above 700 dollars... i just bought this camera for 90bucks and my friend bought a 700 camera (nikon i think). im just wondering if its worth buying it just for the optical zoom because that was what caught my eyes and got me to buy it
Sorry, I can't answer you now. I live in the city, so I cannot see the stars at night because of the city light. But I guess it's not possible, because the stars are too small to focus on.
Yes, you can shot in jpeg, raw or jpeg and raw at the same time. The camera has a High Dynamic Range function, which can be accessed by the menu, and it works fine.
Yes, it was me who uploaded the video. Google for its manual and you'll see you can choose between jpeg and raw, and plus, you can shoot in jpeg and raw at the same time (it generates two files for the same shot).

I use a camcorder to film sexy girls from far away in public without their knowledge, but mine can't zoom in with such clarity at a distance like that. This would be nice to have. Just hang out by the university, appearing like you have no interest in anything around you, when in truth you are staring into the LCD screen and zooming in a sexy girl while filming, but if people aren't close they probably assume you're staring at Facebook on your phone. Ha, ha.

That's not as difficult as it may seem. You can just rise it up and forget about it. You have a button to switch among auto/on/off.
