  • The Camino de Santiago, or Way of Saint James, is a network of pilgrimage routes that lead to the Santiago de Compostela, in the Galicia region of Spain, where the remains of the apostle Saint James are believed to be buried. The Portuguese Way is one of the most popular routes of the Camino de Santiago, starting in Lisbon and passing through the region of Galicia in Spain.
The stretch of the Portuguese Way from Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis is a relatively easy section of the route, with a distance of about 25 km. It takes most people about 6 to 8 hours to walk this section of the Camino, depending on their pace and the number of breaks they take. Along the way, you will pass through charming small towns and villages, with plenty of opportunities to rest and refuel at local cafés and restaurants. You will also enjoy beautiful natural surroundings, including forests, rivers, and rolling hills.
