I've subscribed, will see how it goes. Garbage truck videos are quite interesting, even if the trash seems boring and common. What I like the most are the ones that have exposed hydraulics, most modern machines have them all plated up and behind walling to protect them and keep them from buckling or deforming the steel packing plates and beams.
I got to 104 assuming a small margin of error on my part that seems about right for 100 bins! :D I think the driver should wait a bit longer for the packer to pack the garbage some of that garbage looked like it could spill out over the top of the hopper. This truck looks like a pendulum packer or some variant thereof. It would be interesting, if it's possible to find the information, for you to list in the description what kind of garbage packer the garbage truck is using. I've seen a lot of garbage trucks and it would be nice to have some idea of what kind of packer they're using. This particular truck seemed decently fast at packing the garbage but the operator also seemed to like filling the hopper to the top of it. I'm curious as to whether this actually improves the performance of the garbage packer any, as it seemed to just shove up any garbage up top on the swing back, which to me would negate any performance improvement it would get out of having a full hopper. I've seen a garbage packer a lot like the ones Cleanaway up here in Far North Queensland use, that looks like this truck and garbage packer type, in Cleanaway blue color scheme, or at least seemed to be using a lot, with Iveco name badge on at least some of them, from memory. Sorry if any terminology isn't exact, I'm trying to describe this mostly from memory, and couldn't remember all the terminology used, so it's probably not exactly describing the garbage trucks. I have seen Cleanaway use one seemingly very fast garbage packer. I don't know what it was using for a garbage packer but it seemed to stuff garbage in the back at a much faster rate than the rest of their fleet, judging from how fast it went down the hopper out of view. I've also seen the opposite, a packer with a plate that swung up and down to about a 45 degree angle and back down again. I noticed some garbage bags seemed to get onto this plate and just swing from side to side in rhythm with the plate's motion. Not sure if it was feeding another packing plate below it into the back of the truck, but was a quite slow packer sometimes. Anyway, enough remembering, time for doing things IRL. Would like to see more on garbage trucks, particularly what kinds of packers there are out there and how to recognize them.
