Hey man, super informative, great video. Worth noting with our hightop installs at Wasatch Overland, yes we are more expensive than Tufport, but, we do include taxes, wooden reinforcement and a white finish inside as standard on all of our tops. We also pay for crating, brokerage and shipping the tops to our facility from BC. Just figured I’d chime in on our reasoning for the more expensive option than Tufport. 🤙🏽
Thanks for sharing! I'm glad you chimed in. Personally I totally understand the price difference and think that for many folks in the central/western US who want to have a top installed vs. a DIY option, you are likely the best bet. Going up to Canada is reasonable for folks up here in the PNW, but if I was coming from Colorado then Tufport wouldn't really be a consideration. Still hard to beat a junkyard top for cost but wow is it a lot of work!!
Nice. The rooftop tent seems like a good option if you're taking trips in decent weather. Part of what I love about a van is the ability to stop almost anywhere and stealth camp, so having things all set up without having to pop the tent up feels better to me.
Great info.. I have been hoping to find a low aero topper that has been wrecked. I only need the portion that sits over the cab to act as a more aero friendly frontal section for my ambulance.
I've found car-part.com pretty useful. Search for "Roof" under "Body" and it will show you options. Looks like there may be one in Tucson right now. Not sure where you're located.

I am in the middle of putting a pop top diy on my extended 7.3.
Great info and love seeing the progress.
Very cool. How did you source the pop-top?

No doubt. I'm pretty excited about this top. It's huge.
