J-red has always been the underdog within its time period on paper. I will pick up one of my Jonsered 625 or 670s and run it cutting firewood just as I would one of my ported 266 husqvarna chainsaws. They are reliable and rip side by side with any saw in the same class or even punch above their weight class. It's a shame they aren't being made anymore that's why it's so important to keep the ones we have alive.. Always fun Novice guy. 👍
I never had any luck with the 441, pile of junk. Then the 461 and cracked pistons, I was done with those. I rely on a ms660 and a ms440 that has a slant fin 044 cylinder on it, cuts well and reliable enough to keep up with my 6 hour days cutten north idaho timber
Love me some jonsered saws , I own a 2054 turbo I bought 25 years ago n been cutting 5 cords every year for home heating my house n did I say oak wood.never any rebuilds only spark plugs n a needle bearing on clutch . wow great saws .go huskavarna. Um jonsered.who.
Unlike the 2165 (13.2 pounds) versus the MS400 (12.8 pounds), the 2171(13.4 pounds) is lighter than the MS441 (14.6 pounds). Just using specs listed for each chainsaw. The 2171 is only 0.2 pounds heavier than the 2165. I would be happy owning any of the four, but I wouldn't trade a good working Jonsered for one of these Stihl chainsaws.
The only Stihl I’ve ever liked that I’ve ran is the 462c. The 028 super was ok except the vibrations. I personally would rather work on husqvarna and they handle so much better in daily production. My all time favorite saw is the NE 346, 365 special and the 372. I enjoy running the xtorq with few mods there a beast. I know people don’t like them but I’ve cut with min xtorq for 12 years now still going strong
Love your channel.. honest good reviews! Stihl... they just keep loosing 😂😂LOL! Yet we have all these sthil FAN boys.. nothing wrong with stihl at all.. I have 7 stihl saws and I love them all.. but what I LOVE even more is when a good honest saw like jonsered just woops that stihl and makes the stihl fan boys rear ends pucker! LMAO!!!!!!
That is a bigger surprise , my 441 runs pretty well, easily a match of a 365, close to a 372 unusually. Wonder if wood conditions are changing. Have to say .. again.. my tweaked 2165 easily out runs any 372 even the xpw versions. Proof bigger ports doesn't always mean better.
The 500 I is the only saw this Shill has going for them and I will admit that is an amazing saw but you have to look at the price and you also have to deal with fuel injection taking up a lot of your fuel tank
I have a 500 and a Jonsered 670 Champ and to be honest, the 500 does not out cut the 670 by much! I have had several of those Red saws and if they were still making the bigger ones today, that’s all I would still have!!
@OgleBilly I have not actually cut with a 500i myself however I am a 300 serieries husqvarna xp owner myself (390 xp) and I do love the reliability of the 300 series xp saws as well as the Jonsered 2100 series I haven't actually had experience with the 500 I just have seen videos of them thank you the input as an owner of one I have also seen that the 500 series xp seems to be as fast but I have heard they have problems as well I will stick to my 300 series xp and 2100 series jonsered
I don't even know where a guy could buy Jonsered saws,or parts/service in my area? I can honestly say that I've never tried to race other saws,I just cut firewood in the past with my saws,I've spent days cutting with McCullough,Husqvarna,Homelite, and Stihl and I never felt that a few seconds here and there mattered in a 12 hour day when I was young...maybe now though? :D
I don't think you're bashing stihl at all. I think you're showing non biased truth about performance of all models in a certain size category. Next you should do a series on just price alone and what it gets you.
Well you know Stihl lot of older the saws can spank the new saws old Mac can do it and if porttnem right they will spank every thing out there inc 500i just about all these saw to dad at just not that great
@@novicelumberjack I love your channel I recommend you grab those same saws and run them eight hours a day and see what still standing at the end of the day
Love this series. All things equal, the only variables are the saws themselves.

I think red max still makes the 2172
The 441 was Stihl's biggest failure to a timber cutter, and 461 for that matter. That design is why and when I left Stihl.

Big surprise. Jonsered wins again. 🎉
Hard pressed to find a better saw than jonsered.
Man that Jonsered is a great saw

Man, if stihl wasn't so overhyped and overpriced, I'd almost be feeling bad for them😂

I been slacking on the viewing of videos. I been out in the shop busy myself 😂
I liked the “bubblehead” sound effects from the getgo lol. You’ve a great UA-cam recipe for success, son: entertaining enlightenment 👍🏻
The 050 and 090 was heavy but they last forever
Lifetime Ouachita Mts logger. Stihl, Husky or J-red, not a nickles difference. Ran them all.

To be fair, it's one of the best the 70cc class has ever seen vs one of the all time worst. Find an 044/440 for an exciting whack off.
Great video.. I’ve always wanted a jonsered
Ha ha ha normal outcome. There I said it! Jred for the win!!

I’m kinda doubting that Stihl will renew their sponsorship of your channel 😂
😂😂😂. I don’t know how he even got it. He’s not a fan
Anyone that has a sponsorship is gonna be more biased towards another company nobody likes all of them the same
was the 441 a m-tronic?

Looks like Jonsered ins’t gonna be produced anymore.
Bars are long enough, just keep them parallel to the ground please
Great video!!
The 441 is the biggest pos Stihl ever produced..

Weight to power ratio of today and then would be cool to see .
Ouch! That’s gotta sting. But I seen it coming. 441 are heavy pigs.
That is the gloating I’ve been waiting for.

Scored again !
They need to make a jonsered emoji
Jonsered vs. McCulloch.
My internet sucks
thumbs up
Gutt that emissions muffler on 441 and then see what happens.

Sup BOEDY?😅
Неправильный конкурс, сначала пилит одна пила, потом с нее снимается шина с цепью и ставится на другую.
How about longevity I bet the sthil wins that one.
🤣😂🤣🤮😂🤣😂
