How to add certificate for chrome
I have a question related to Chrome. I have applied the proxy settings on Chrome , but as soon as I try opening any HTTPS site , it shows privacy error( I have imported the correct certificate too ). Could you please help with the steps and guide us on how can we use Chrome and record the script for HTTPS sites

While setting proxy server ... m not able to perform any operation becoz after setting internet is not working.
what should I do?
It might be helpful for you. Try this one-
Solution:
1. Run the jmeterw.cmd instead of jmeter.bat from the bin folder
2. Follow all the instructions as naveen showed in his tutorial.
Hope this will help you to solve this problem. In my case, it worked perfectly!
Hi Naveen, Is is important to turn on the proxy settings from the Automatic because as soon as i do that my Internet turns down. What impact will it make if I don't make any change in the proxy Settings?

If your doing proxy in IE or Chrome then whole network will get proxy and disconnected, try Mozilla for proxy setting and usage, as per my knowledgeable I know only this, if anyone has any other solutions please do share...🙂😇😊

When i use option "use a proxy server for your lan" my internet stops working. Could you please help.
Akanksha , Just uncheck the checkbox of "use a proxy server for your lan" i mean remove the proxy you defined or Start the Test Script Recorder from Jmeter.
@@mohitkumar7751 Hi Mohit, I also encountered the same issue like Akanksha Sharma. But when I unchecked the proxy LAN and hit start from jmeter. It says like file not found error, couldn't record the script. Could you please help?

@@arpitagupta8263 You need to set manual proxy over your Firefox and then start your Jmeter proxy. Hopefully this will record.

Hi Naveen , Iam not able to generate the Root CA certificate. After configuring JMeter according to you it is throwing a java.io. FileNotFoundexception proxyserver.jks. Plzz help me out i have to do the performance testing on website in my office.
tried with the proxy but the website is not loading properly. Its just the screen of that website.

I have checked my LAN settings and firefox proxy setting (where certificate is not added yet)
I relaunched Firefox couple of times as well
When I reload the google.com url(or any other https url), It loads the page. Can you tell me why is this happening?

whenver I run the Jmeter ,I'm getting the following exception"java.net.UnknownHostException: apache.jmeter.com"' in firefox.
What's the reason for this. I'm getting the same exception for all the http websites.

I'm still getting so many files of pattern "/success.txt-(any number)" like /success.txt-478 even after putting txt in excluding file type. Why so? Any help?

after doing the setting on firefox "Configure Proxy Access to the Internet", When i clicking on start recording, on jmeter in am getting an popup as ("Target Controller Is configured to "Use Recording Controller" but no such controller exists, ensure you add a Recording Controller as child of Thread Group node to start recording correctly") so please help me here

@21:09 why do we need to reduce the request? Shouldn't we be doing performance testing for those things as well as these will play a role in over all page response time

When I added the Jmeter certficate, and started the recording, I didn't get any results to view. Would you know why would that be? Before adding certficate, I was able to get the recorded scripts.

1. What is the site, that you are trying to access?
2. Make sure you hit the "Start" button, to capture everything.
3. Try with different other websites.
4. Still, if you're facing issues with "unable to capture", then remove the current Jmeter directory and extract it again from the zip file. And start from scratch.
