I absolutely hate treadmills. I can't run on them. The ground doesn't move at a constant rate when you run. It adjusts to you. Whereas on a treadmill you're always at the wrong pace because you are going too fast when you push off the foot and too slow when you land your foot. Not by much but it puts me right off.
Keely is superhuman and and Olympic Silver medalist too. 25.2km/h is insane. Her personal best is 1m 54 I believe just a second behind the current world record.
high schooler boys can run that easily with a little training. 1:55 is not impressive at all for a 800m. unfortunately women are not really good runners, but woke people won’t accept that.
When you watch a lot of the world champions compared to others, they run with a "bad form" but it's a very loose and fluid form. Clearly it shows to be the better approach to running
All i can say is WHEW 😥, Keely makes that look so easy, even at my current level of fitness,i would land on my face, Go 😉 Keely, ur Awesome 🎉❤ you will do very well in Paris 🎉🎉🎉
I think that in a fast race with pacers, with ideal weather conditions in a good day for her Kelly can run under 1:54:00. The world record maybe a bit too much, but it is time for the old WR to go. Maybe she can make it happened
4.30 for a mile is seriously good, but you'd need to be a sub 2 min 800m runner to be in touching distance with 100m to go. As a former 2.05 runner at 15/16 (55 at 400m), i would estimate 500-600m i would have fallen on the floor crying trying to stay anywhere close. Could have been a 400m pacemaker at best for a 800m. 1.54-1.56 which Keely is regularly running, is some serious speed endurance. The lactic most former 800m/1500m amateur runners would have at 400m trying to keep up with a world class 800m runner, would be insane and we'd be tapping out at 500m ish on the first bend on lap 2.
My theory is if you want to be a champion athlete, focus mind over body. Don’t think about the pain. Think about getting to the finish line first and being the winner.
With the athletics this year ,100 to 10,000m in both women and men it is unpredictable. I can't remember a time that so many could take gold or a medal
The thing is with an anaerobic effort like it is for all the people trying to match her pace, the difference between doing that pace for 30 seconds or even 1 minute and doing it for 2 minutes is huuuge. It is like going from being able to do something for 10 minutes to being able to do it for 3 or 4 hours.
Keely is great but this video is BBC cringe. Why are women always described as "badass"? It's almost... condescending, as if women need constant, neverending affirmation. Also, if you over-use the word, it starts to lose all meaning. Like "Here's a woman. She's breathing. She has bloodflow. Totally badass!"
I am 80 years old in my running days us to do 56 58 on a sinder trac club runner for 30 years with the best to. Hill and others the times to day aren't special us to train 100 miles every week and go to work
she is a fitness influencer, not a running influencer. she comes from a swimming background and only ventured into running/cross training/hyrox a few years ago. when she does run, she mainly does long distance running - marathons, ultramarathons etc - rather than sprinting national record pace. she'd have them on toast marathon distance+
25km/h is a moderate sprint. I understand that it would be difficult for untrained people to keep up this pace over several hundred meters, but not to be able to match it is ridiculous.
Sebastian did great! At a high school US meet around 54 seconds would win most boys events and he's right there with it.
far easier to maintain this pace on a treadmill than actually do it in real life, no chance he can keep with her on an actual track
@@2011hwalkerabsolutely agree but it was a good effort though
I didn't even realise Keely was in the video until near the end, she wasn't actually introduced! A slight oversight
11 secs in
@@Lakedistrictrider Yes they told us who she is, but didn't actually introduce her in person, hence the confusion

🥇Golden girl Keely!! Olympic Champion!!!

To run at 57 second 400m pace, for over 400m, is really impressive.
Just brilliant! Fab's our Keely!!!!

Not now but I’m 73. I did run 1:56.9 on cinders though.
Hurricane Hodgkinson is on fire!
Having Keely right there would make you so nervous.
Made me chuckle that the fella with the worst form performed the best...so arguably its the best form?
he has long legs thats all :)
When you watch a lot of the world champions compared to others, they run with a "bad form" but it's a very loose and fluid form. Clearly it shows to be the better approach to running
she is really keely!!
Wishing Keely all the best. It’s gotta be Olympic gold this time, surely? 🇬🇧
Matthew could make a good 400m runner and with training, 800m in a couple of years
...err Except the men's pace for the 400m is 33.5 km/hr. It's a sprint distance now.
All i can say is WHEW 😥, Keely makes that look so easy, even at my current level of fitness,i would land on my face, Go 😉 Keely, ur Awesome 🎉❤ you will do very well in Paris 🎉🎉🎉
Treadmills are cack looking,, you can't replicate a run outdoors on one of those things.
Do a new one at 1.54 please 😂
Might have to do an even faster one in a couple of weeks!
She's done her hair so nicely.

I wonder how long Keely would have lasted?🧐
My 54 year old self can't keep up. My 18 year old self could have held on until the last 100m. But I was a 4:30 mile runner

i think i could keep pace for about 50m today then i'm out!!!
This is actually wild 😮
Damnnnn is Keely really that fast?
Could you keep up with David rudishas pace?
No 45s was enough but might go for 50s now
Might as well attempt Usain Bolt's pace while they're at it.
My theory is if you want to be a champion athlete, focus mind over body. Don’t think about the pain. Think about getting to the finish line first and being the winner.
I can't even think in that speed, let alone run it!
Keely goes for gold😊😊😊
✅
I wonder how long Keely could keep up with Ben Pattinson, who just ran 1:42 last week. Probably 40-50seconds, given her 400m pb is 51.6 secs
With the athletics this year ,100 to 10,000m in both women and men it is unpredictable. I can't remember a time that so many could take gold or a medal
keely is champ

This is close to a 4 minute mile.
Not getting upto starting speed is a bit 💀
No
Next question
Think my treadmill maxes out at 15mph which is 24km/h. I've run that on it before
Yes I could.........
I can run at about 1m 50s for 400m....imagine keely doing 800m at the same time ....fast
She's ran 1:54 not 1:55
Yeah recently, filmed before
it's harder running on the machine than in free space
@@Nick-mt4wk maybe once you get used to it, but not for a novice
Can we just be told what actual speed/ pace that is on the treadmill??
0:34 25.2 km/h
how fast is steely keeley really? pretty fast!!! defeat is not an option!!
hi
That’s not even her at her fastest either

She never beat Athing Mo (USA). See when we get to her. She was lucky Mo was tripped.
Do the men’s version and no one would keep up

Says it all when the "running influencer" is one of the worst
Except she’s not a running influencer
The description says 'fitness influencer,' you've clearly missed that.
She was a professional swimmer, not a runner. She is a 'fitness' influencer.

Don't heelstrike when you run.
Running on a treadmill is different to running outside. Another thing is athletes at the top level are not clean but people will think they are lol.
Oh I agree there. Most of the fuels are doped
25km/h is a moderate sprint. I understand that it would be difficult for untrained people to keep up this pace over several hundred meters, but not to be able to match it is ridiculous.
For how long should a trained person be able to run at 25kp/h then?
Umm no. That’s a full on sprint.
