Awesome video man! Really nice review. I agree that it's just too expensive. For $40k go buy a BMW or Mercedes if you want luxury and power, or a nice honda/lexus if you want reliability.
@@carsadviceandreviews however it being the end of 2024 Dodge is literally dropping these prices like a waterfall down hill! If you want a Dodge Hornet especially an R/T then now is the time to make a sweet deal! These Dodge Hornets might go to the chopping block due to the Trump Administration wanting all cars & trucks made in the USA to avoid high tariffs! The Dodge Hornet is currently assembled in Italy. The 2013 to 2016 Dodge Dart was built in Belvidere, Michigan! The Dart like the Hornet has some Italian DNA within its underpinnings as well! The Dodge Dart was based on the Alfa Romeo Guilietta and the Dodge Hornet was based on the Alfa Romeo Tonalle. I saw where today in southwest Florida a beautiful Acapulco Gold Dodge Hornet GT with a Harman Kardon stereo system & sunroof was sold for under $22,500! That Dodge Hornet GT Plus was originally MSRP'd around $37,000! Congratulations to the buyer indeed! Let's just hope that the reliability holds up!
I never did much research on these, haven't been a fan of Stellantis lately. The more I learn about the Hornet, the more confused I get. Who on earth is this vehicle for?
Hey, welcome 🤗 I’m with you completely, Stellantis seems to be ruining these American car brands. They are getting rid of what people like while raising prices on what people don’t want. If you’re in the market for a small SUV/CUV you definitely have better choices all around.
The Dodge Hornet was built because back in 2023 most auto analyst thought EVs (Electric Cars) were the future? But hold on not too fast here as we have a new Administration coming into the White House! V8s including hemi s coming back & ICE engines aren't going nowhere!
@carsadviceandreviews You did a very nice video on the Hornet! Look at the prices now! MSRPs are dropping like temperatures on a COLD Winter's night! I really like these Hornet G/Ts in particular! I like Dodge as I have been driving a 2014 Dodge Dart SXT since 2017 with NO problems whatsoever! I keep thinking that I want to trade my DART in for a HORNET! Then I come back to my senses! 😆!!!
Hey, thanks for stopping by Well when I shot the video it was the slowest of August. September is Alfa Romeo Giulia Both Stellantis products made by the same manufacturer. The hornet is right there though and yes I do my research, thank you for keeping me in line 🙌
NOBODY wants a FAKE sportscar. I'm sorry, a V8 with its noise and all that comes with that will always be more fun and exciting than any laptop on wheels. And I don't care how much faster an EV is during a drag race. It's still BORING. I believe that most car enthusiasts will agree
I agree with you completely and I own an EV I miss my TRX, I like the drama that a rumbling V8 brings, so much more character. This car is being marketed as a sporty SUV/CUV but it’s not sporty enough nor quick enough for others in price range. If you’re looking for something economical and cheap, it isn’t your best option. And it definitely isn’t reliable as others

Hello, thanks for watching and your kind words. You are absolutely right about what could be had for that money.

Should have just left the Tonale and never rebadged it as a dodge.
I agree, at that point the price would have been justified because it being a luxurious European car,

Dodge just keeps digging themselves into a deeper hole.
I agree.
The Dodge Hornet hasn't been the slowest selling car in the US since July. Do your research

@carsadviceandreviews no it was not the slowest of July, August, or September. The last month it was the slowest selling vehicle was June of 24

@@carsadviceandreviews The R/T leases for $299/month with no money down. Does that change your opinion?
It’s a shame. It could have been a cool car but everything I read is BAD!!!
Yes, definitely agree with you! Hopefully they figure it out.
