Anthony Ray, I really just discovered your reactions after your voyage over the pond to visit Pegasus. I really appreciate this intro to 1 ok rock. I had seen a few of their things pop into my feed but this is the first time I've listened to them. I dig it. I'll have to have the Lady of the Manor give this a listen. She's the real fan of Adele. So she cringes a lot when she hears covers of Adele.

The difference from "HELLO" is that the instrumental performance is ONE OK ROCK's. There are still some good songs on the "Luxury Disease" album, and I think "Eye of the Storm" (the song with the same name as the album) and "The Way Back" are unique. Incidentally, I couldn't find a live video of "The Way Back" in good visual and sound condition, so I recommend MV. There are many other good songs. Now, what song will be chosen next? I am looking forward to it❤

Dramatic is how I generally term this kind of music. Genre doesn't matter so much as the dramatic performance - the perfect kind of song for Adele's raspy, emotional vocals. Taka has the voice to be able to pull this off.
Taka and Ed recently collaborated on One Ok Rock's "wherever you are" at Ed Sheeran's Tokyo Dome concert. it is rare to hear Ed singing in Japanese, and you can also hear their harmonies. The collaboration was almost improvised, but it was great, so please check it out.

Nice, but not a patch on the original. Soulless by comparison with Adele’s heart breaking original. Taka has a beautiful voice, but he’s never had his heart & soul destroyed by a partner, Adele has, it shows.
