WORD OF WARNING: At the time of me writing this comment (July 2022), the 'summary' block cannot be used on 'Portfolio' templates. So if you use the 'blog' or 'portfolio' features on Squarespace, you will not be able to display them in a summary block (e.g. as a carousell on your homepage). I don't know why this is. Hopefully this helps someone

I am confused by your advice to delete the content from each page of the template you chose. Why pick a template then? Why not just start from a blank design?
When this video was made, blank templates weren't an option! So agreed, going with a blank template is also a fabulous option to ensure your content guides your design, and not the template "inspiration"

Given that I have only created two websites for myself in the past I feel that the template content might prevent me from making a significant error, even at the risk of being too cookie-cutter.
