Back with another cover for another Pixel Mixers contest! In this case, I had been working on this arrangement on and off since the end of March, but I put most of the work into it over the last month or so. For this theme, my cover has to fit an elemental theme of either water, air, fire, or earth (obviously water for mine lol). Go Team Water!
While I mostly didn't record video for this one, I did capture the solos live since they were pretty improvised, and I used some cool motion effects to fit the vibe of the visualizer.
Speaking of the solos, I was tempted to go for something more shreddy and deliberate, but I think my choice of doing simpler improvised solos worked out a lot better, because they still sound pretty epic, especially the electric solo with all the delay and reverb on it.
While I went for a pretty typical Triple B style cover with changing the meter and playing with dynamics and having a long solo section, I think this is one of the covers I'm most proud of. I do have a desire to move away from those style of arrangements so I become a little less predictable, and just to do something new, but I haven't gotten sick of it despite that, and considering I did a lot of listening to mix and master it. I always consider that I good sign! :D Hope you enjoy this one!

One of the most beautiful songs in all of video games. So mysterious and dark, yet truly beautiful. You gave this song justice
Very well played and great sound dear friend!!
This definitely needs more views. Top top work. You've created a masterpiece.
Very nice Bea.
The anticipation of knowing that this is about to go hard from seeing the title while listening to the ambience of the first half was an experience!
Beautiful playing and choice of effects in this arrangement you made, it's like the relaxingly smooth flow of ambient water. Well done!
I honestly have been listening to this on loop for like 2/3 days. Definitely my favourite Aquatic Ambiance cover of all time.
Thank you so much! There's a lot of covers of this song so that's really high praise.
@@TripleBMusic Dude you're More than welcome!!!! Keep up the amazing work. You're definitely on the right path!!
Loved the improv part! 🔥
This song's always a banger, your cover definitely did it justice.
Well done!
This is so beautiful!!!!
This is awesome! Really love all the layers in the beginning with the clean guitar and vocal bits and whatever else you threw in there. Really unique sound. Then the solos and the buildup to the heavier parts were perfect! Great job on this one!
hell yeah dude, dkc ost is so good
this is so chill, love the aesthetics too
Excellent arrangement! Love the instrument choices (and subtle vocals too!), as well as an excellent solo! Awesome job!
The echoing guitars were a nice choice for such a classic VGM ostinato. Putting it in 7 was also a fun twist on the original, and it keeps the atmospheric vibe of the original even with the irregular meter.
Visually, that video effect on the solo was neat to watch. I feel like I'm watching a deep-sea bioluminescent guitaristfish haha
deep-sea bioluminescent guitaristfish is truly a one of a kind vibe that I wish to encapsulate
so many cool layers and things happening and the solo was 😎
and then we get to the promised (prog-mised?) genre. great job!
What a vibe, amazing job!
This gotta be one of the best covers of this song I've heard, and there are quite a few out there haha! The buildup when the lead gets distorted sounded really epic, and the vocals was a really nice touch. Great work!!
Thanks a lot, that's a big compliment ☺
Dude, this is amazing!
Nice work! kinda reminds of the band The Contortionist. Loving the vocal stuff as well :D
Hey B, love how this turned out! I listened yesterday but forgot to comment.
It's finally here! This sounds great. The original is already magic and your sound + arrangement really work well for the song! I chuckled a bit when I noticed it was in 7/8 and I love the subtle vocals and whistling you added! Loved the improvised solo and when it picked up after the drum fill! Really cool to see another project from you again and excited for the next one!
Thanks Lloyd! I'm curious where you heard whistling because it was vocals only haha
@@TripleBMusic On 2nd listen I notice it's vocals now but for some reason the part on the right side at 1:38 sounded like whistling to me at first lol
Ohh haha fair 😅
The slight irritation I get from the asymmetrical timing is far offset by how pleasant this sounds
This cover was AMAZING 🤩 You just gained a subscriber😊
Thanks for checking it out! 😊
