Yup it kinda mirrors the reality we are in. It shows that no matter the plan, no matter the effort and no matter the sacrifices, there's just too much distrust, greed and especially hate for humanity to handle that's why wars will never end

Mikasa's ending has been so heavy on my mind and i know its a fictional story but i just feel so bad for her.

If you squint you'll see she eventually had a baby with Jean and they came back together to visit eren and introduce him to their daughter. I think it's beautiful to imagine her and Jean living a wonderful life, but Jean understood in the end that she would want to be buried next to eren. An old man version of Armen also showed visiting both of their graves, looks like he outlived them in the end.

Out of the ruins and ashes of the old civilisation grows a new one.
Look at the ruins of the Maya, Egyptian and Roman. Their civilisations fell into ruins and around these ruins have grown new civilisations. We have to work on ourselves with the goal of becoming better, stronger, more disciplined, calculated and logical with a clear goal for our nations and humanity as a whole in mind. Humanity is predestined for something bigger than protecting every last piece of grass for ecological purposes on earth.
We have to build the foundation for our children, for that they one day, may visit the stars, expand and research the unknown.

I like this ending better than the manga. In the manga it only showed a modern city, implying that only a few hundred years passed and the Titan history wasn’t forgotten. So Eren and everyone fought and died for nothing because humanity couldn’t forgive Paradis. But showing a cyberpunk city is better because it means thousands or even millions of years passed and Titans have either been forgotten or become myths. So the conflict that ensued wasn’t because of Titans, it was new reason humanity made to fight each other. The manga’s epilogue told humanity doesn’t forget and we’ll be constantly fighting the same battle for the same stupid reason, and everything our characters did meant nothing. The anime’s epilogue was a bit more uplifting as it told humanity can forgive and forget and our characters sacrifices meant something but it doesn’t mean conflict itself will end as we’ll find a new reason to fight each other eventually.

I would like to imagine that the wanderer in the last scene was us, the whole aot series are just a flashback of eren’s memories and we saw it because we got the founding titan’s power by the tree. We could see that because in the early episodes, we see a adult eren figure in the background, it’s hard to notice but it’s there. And not to mention the first episode of aot was “to you, 2000 years later…”

the looped river of human wars will always never end, history repeats no matter what era until the world becomes a pillar of salt on which any life, will not be able to exist
but I believe that nature will always find a way, it will always persist it has been before us and will be after us

The cruel world that shattered the boy’s sword of dreams
Will reach the top of the skyscraper and look down on the construction of the Tower of Babel with laughter
Hatred and anger are a double-edged blade - history repeats itself
Fruitful and abundant, the earth is overfilled
The steel bird is released into the sky
Freedom becomes a crimson bow and arrow
The looped river of human conflicst, the cycle of war reating many times
Unable to throw away the stones we effectless throw back
The diseased humanity stupefying gazes at the sky
The bow and arrow of Hades, dormant power from within of matter similar to a meteor
History repeats itself and becomes "zero" once again
Can you hear it? Step into the forest
No matter how many times we get lost on the path
Even on the scorched field, life was, is and plants and trees still bud
In the hollow of the great tree that saw everything in the past
    What do you understand?
To you, in 2000 ... or 20000 Years ... everything will happen anew

Sometimes your worst enemys lies within yourself
Conflict may finally be resolved but a new conflict can rise
Following your dreams maybe good but think about the consequences while your trying to achieve it
Sometimes we blame the person we hate the most, but in the end we are also to blame because we are a part of why it may have happened

Nah, unless the war itself caused a reset, humans would overwhelm the titans with that tech. Remember that titans were unstoppable in ancient times, but by Eren's time titans were struggling against WW2 tech. Also, in the case of a reset there would be ruins everywhere, so highly unlikely this happened before.
