This was the last song, in the last live concert (1997), of Soda Stereo as a band. That's why Gustavo gets emotional. After this, Gustavo began a succesful solo career, before they reunite for the Gira Me Verás Volver (tour of 2007) which has maybe the best live versions of every hit from Soda ever. This was played at the River Plate stadium (where Coldplay or AC/DC recorded their DVDs, among other musicians). They came back in 2007 with their tour "Me veras volver" (You will see me come back). This is their most commercial song, I personally would love you to react to "En la ciudad de la furia" live at the Me veras volver tour.

Love this reaction! Soda were the music of my youth. I was your age Dashy, taking a cassette tape in my one bag of personal things I was able to take when moving to a new country. Everything was new, but I still had my music. I jumped and danced around like everyone there in that concert, but in my room far away from everything I knew. I am so glad to see the joy in your faces hearing this song for the first time. It has brought so much joy to me throughout my life over over 30 years.
Thank you. Soda Stereo is considered the best Spanish-speaking rock band. In particular, Gustavo Cerati is considered one of the best artists of all time. He died on 4th September, 2014. However, he gave the audience his last concert on 15th May, 2010. That time he finished his soloist tour called "Fuerza Natural" in Caracas, Venezuela. Some minutes after the show, he suffered from a terrible stroke. Four years later, he passed away. His legacy is still un our lives. Thank you so much Dashy and Dad.

Possibly the most emotionally powerful, transformative band to have ever existed. My conspiracy theorist brain wonders if "western" secret services didn't wack him (directed energy weapons, etc), either as revenge for the Falklands audacity, to further demoralize the argentinian Nation, or because he didn't somehow fall in line with some agenda. Just a thought. Rest in Peace Gustavo. Hope to one day meet you in the hereafter.

Love this reaction! Soda were the music of my youth. I was your age Dashy, taking a cassette tape in my one bag of personal things I was able to take when moving to a new country. Everything was new, but I still had my music. I jumped and danced around like everyone there in that concert, but in my room far away from everything I knew. I am so glad to see the joy in your faces hearing this song for the first time. It has brought so much joy to me throughout my life over over 30 years.

Thank you. Soda Stereo is considered the best Spanish-speaking rock band. In particular, Gustavo Cerati is considered one of the best artists of all time.
He died on 4th September, 2014. However, he gave the audience his last concert on 15th May, 2010. That time he finished his soloist tour called "Fuerza Natural" in Caracas, Venezuela. Some minutes after the show, he suffered from a terrible stroke. Four years later, he passed away.
His legacy is still un our lives.

Possibly the most emotionally powerful, transformative band to have ever existed.
My conspiracy theorist brain wonders if "western" secret services didn't wack him (directed energy weapons, etc), either as revenge for the Falklands audacity, to further demoralize the argentinian Nation, or because he didn't somehow fall in line with some agenda.
Just a thought.
