Day 4 (7/26) - Highwood, Montana Harvest
Вставка

- Back and forth and back and forth.
Thats what we did all day today. The field we cut was large enough that it took all day to cut.
So, it seemed the amount of new scenes to share with you were limited.
But it was a good, productive day!
Kudos to Katie for ALL of the drone footage!!!!

another wonderful days harvesting Tracey and so lovely to see it going so well and like jim said no rocks to look out for just a nice thick crop of wheat and again another lovely sunset
This made me laugh so hard! Can't wait to see more from you!
👍🏻👍🏻
thanks for another great video, the scenery there is amazing, I do not think you and Jim could have amore perfect job to do than you do helping them with harvest, see ya tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree!
Beautiful videos of great scenery!!!❤ Thanks Tracie!!!
Thank YOU!
I must say you and Jim are sure missed by those that followed you on the wheat harvest a couple years ago. Hard to believe it’s been two years now. So glad you are able to still continue like this👍👍
Yes, agree! Hard to believe this is already our second summer of not being on the road. I miss seeing those we would see on an annual basis. Farmers and harvesters. Thanks for your kind note!!
WHY do I never get tired of watching grain harvesting. ? ❤
And I'm a city kid!
Thank you Tracy and Jim for the daily update, this is one of my favorite channels. I love to see how this operation runs like a well oil machine. It would be fun to ride along for a day with different members of the crew. I am a farmer from eastern Nebraska, just never get enough of harvest videos. Glad Jim is able to help with harvest without the stress of daily maintenance.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am also a harvest addict so I completely understand. This job fills my cup since we are no longer on the road. You’ve probably told me in the past what part of Eastern NE you are in but I’ve forgotten.
Every dang one of those trucks pulling grain trailers are awesome! Really nice looking fleet. Take care all. Todd the retired trucker.
They do have a nice fleet of trucks! The nice ones are still in the shed.
Great video loved the garden and the cross be safe thank you Tracie for the work for great videos God bless.
Thanks so much!!
That's cool that everyone stops and goes in for supper, kind of surprising with the intensity of modern agriculture.
I think that's just the fields close to the farmstead. Then it's catered tailgate style. Still yummy!
Nope, we go in for supper every night because of the close proximity of the fields. There are exceptions but for the most part there are no meals hauled to the field.
Amazing temperature swings aren't there!!
"And mountains in the background" and so much BIG SKY!
SUCH BEAUTY!
❤️
These fields are so large you don’t know where the end is until you get there. And when you get to the fork in the road, take it!
Right!
Warm days cool nights doesn’t get much better than that👍
True!!
That is some really nice wheat you are cutting that is what its all about another beautiful day thanks for the ride
It’s about as good as it can get!
Enjoy the video. I used to be a farmer till I was in a farming accident. Now I’m in a wheelchair. I miss not being on the farm
Ohhhhhhhhh…I’m so sorry to hear this, Edward! Agriculture never leaves the soul. I’m so glad you’re along with us for the journey!
Jim and Tracy, I hope you guys stay young and healthy for a long time so you can keep bringing these wonderful videos. It is so beautiful to see fields of wheat and you guys harvesting it. Be safe.
Thank you!! I also hope this same thing!
Thanks Jim and Tracey great video , what a temperature swing !
Yes!! No kidding!
Was a custom cutter myself back in the mid 70's. Still love watching and running combines when I can. Great video
Ahhhhh, then you understand the pull to be in a combine and in a wheat field! My grandpa would have still been in charge of his custom harvesting business in the 70’s. 1974 was the first time I was along with them and learned to drive the Massey combines.
Beautiful Day 4 miles and miles of Montana, just beautiful wheat
😊
Hi Tracy it’s great to see all the others that make up your successful team & make great video footage. Hope your October is going well, I guess you guys will be into sowing soon. 😊
I don’t like the idea of winter and snow. If it wasn’t for the kids and grandkids, I would encourage going south.
Dunno what’s looks better the scenery or the delicious meals at night👍👍👌
Both!
Tracy, you have good times; big fields and little children. A grandmother is a grandmother to all kids. 😀
I just love kids. ❤️
Tracy great video love the beautiful drone video
I can’t take credit for the drone footage. But I’m sure lucky they’re willing to share!
Awesome video again. The drone footage was superb. You all be safe and keep the videos coming. I love the scenery.
Hoping Katie reads all the comments about the drone shots as she did amazing with them!
Love the garden! At the moment I am busy in the garden myself. In the part of the Netherlands where I live there is peat soil, which sinks and that is why I have to raise the garden every two to three years. I keep buying bags of soil and sand, that is quite heavy! That's not my daily work so in the evening I am tired. Fortunately my daughter helps. The houses here are built on long poles, otherwise the houses would also sink. When I bought my house in the year 2000, more than 70 m3 of soil was needed to raise the garden! Greetings from the Netherlands!
VERY INTERESTING! I would love to see pictures!
Amazingly Beautiful
❤️
Amazing work being done on a daily basis, the talent really shows by everyone , thank you , take care & have fun , stay safe everyone .
A great team to be a part of!
Lovin it Tracy!
Thanks!!!
Awesome video as always. Stay safe and God bless all
Thank you so much!
What a beautiful, bountiful crop!
YES!
Stunning drone footage. I never tire of seeing the contrast of the harvest and the surrounding landscape. Many thanks for sharing what you and your work colleagues are doing.
My pleasure!!! Glad you enjoy them.
Thanks Tracy, we cut around Big Sandy and then north of Shelby back in dinosaur days, good memories.
HA - dinosaur days. That’s funny! I bet not much has changed.
a kitchen in the shop makes it all go.
It’s awesome!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
Looks like another couple of days of general harvest. Temperature differences are something else. Supper time looked great, you didn’t want for anything to eat. Thanks for the header report, enjoyed it.looking forward to forward to the next issue of Harvest 2024. CYA
Thanks for checking in!
It’s always fun to harvest a good crop.
Yes. It is!
Beautiful country Love the videos
Thank you so much!
Another Great View 😎😎
Thanks ✌
Great camera work
Thanks!
Another great video Tracy, as a retired farmer I never get tired of watching this family farm all work together from meals to auger cart drivers , to semi drivers and everywhere in between . They all have a job and all work well together . The wheat looks fantastic standing good and yields seem to be very good as well . Take care and be safe , haven't seen Frank in service yet .
A well-oiled machine for sure! Maybe before it’s over, Frank will get to haul a load. 😍
Such beautiful country. I miss that area.
It is so beautiful!
Your great videos are getting through my harvest withdrawals. I am 450 miles west of you and it looks like we start harvest on Aug 5th. Running two weeks later than last year. Keep the videos coming very enjoyable.
Hope you’re deep into your harvest by now. And hoping it’s a good one!
Great video. The flower garden was gorgeous. Brrr, glad it's not that cold here in oklahoma.
Nice video shooting today. Enjoyed.
Very good Video 👍 👍👍
👍🏻👍🏻 thank you!
Hello from Brazil !!
love it, say can i get a job with you all ? eating the food it looks so fat freeeeeeee
😊
Y’all sure are lucky to be able to do what you do and have a beautiful back drop thank you so much for your videos
Truly blessed! I try not to take a minute of it for granted.
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking yes you tell the story of the great American harvest run an I surly appreciate all you and Mr Jim do thank you again God bless all of y’all and be careful
@@chuckrobinson6244 ❤️ thank you!
Thanks for another great video Tracey and Jim.
What a beautiful video it is!!!!!!
Wow, 47 degrees at night from 100 in the day, what a change that is.
The truck fleet you are working with are some very nice looking trucks and trailers. All of them look first class.
Thanks for the drone footage. Gives you a great perspective of the fields and scenery and the combines going across the fields. Thanks to Katie I believe you said.
Tracey, I am astonished by the size of these wheat fields and they go on forever it seems. The Montana wheat fields are absolutely amazing and beautiful!!!!!!! Sitting in that combine is just like watching a movie it seems going across the fields. Wow.
The gardens you showed us were beautiful. Lots of work to keep those up. Thanks for including them.
Once again, the supper table is just wonderful!!!!! Tremendous outlay of great food for all of you. You are making me hungry.
My compliments to the ladies preparing these food tables.
I will close by saying watching you and all these farmers and combines go across the wheat fields brings tears to my eyes. How wonderful to be doing this in America!!!!!!! Thanks for the flag on you combine Tracey!!!!! I am in awe of the size and beauty of these wheat fields. It is just an honor to ride along with you!!!!!
You made my day again!!!!!!!!
Heartfelt thanks!!!!!!
The Iowa farm boy. Steve
😊😊👍👋🙏💕💕🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great video Tracy, i think i gained 2 lbs just looking at the spread on the tables!!
It wouldn’t be hard!
Please keep up the very good work on producing and editing the UA-cam videos. Loved the introduction to the crew with putting names to faces in that way radio transitions are more interesting. Great show with drone usage. Meals look like inviting, and fun. Thumbs up to you All!❤
Thank you so much!
Good video good to see y'all
❤️
I caught up! 3 days of Frank and 4 days of harvest. Good to see you back on harvest. I have a friend just north of where you are in Valier. Jack Holden of Holden Herefords arguably the top Hereford breeder in the USA. Those folks you are with may know him.
You binged watched Z Crew! 🤣🤣
I’ll ask them.
👍👍awesome as always really like the radio talk just looks like lovely harvesting conditions. Thanks for the great drone pics 😀
❤️
I always liked picking corn better than cutting wheat but l never cut anything that even came close to that wheat. That has to be fun!
I might like corn better if I had flat ground to work with. It’s the small fields, terraces and ditches that mess with me.
Drone videos are awesome even if they are green combine 😊
Katie does an outstanding job with her drone shots! The countryside makes the view better than anything.
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking
I think id like to make a road trip through mt it looks amazing
@@randydutka9302 if you never have, DO IT!
Blow some of that 47 degee stuff down here to Kansas !!!!! Lol
Tracy if you ever get tired of running the combine let me now i will take over enjoy and be careful .
That’s probably not gonna happen. I have some sort of sickness. I never tire of being in the cab of a combine. But thanks for the offer!
Good video
Thank you!
Tracie tell us about some of the old buildings on this farm(are the the original owners, family of or helpers homes). Also, share some of the harvests information without too many details I sure the farmer would appreciate that. Enjoying the videos been following for several years God Bless be safe
I really hate giving many details about the crop out of respect for the farmer. I can tell you it’s plenty dry. It’s doing better than 60 bpa. I don’t know the protein. Most of it’s going to on farm storage bins. And I have no idea of the acres.
Any idea on the history of the older/oldest out buildings?
Have Finn out there kiddo’s
Enjoy the scenery but what is the moisture readings and bushel count? You might have commented so...
Moisture is plenty dry 9-10%. I’ll just say the bushels are 60+.
Thank you Tracy Do you do the drone filming ? Its awesome Oh and the cooks are doing you proud as we say here in Norfolk UK ;) Grace
No, I’m in the combine all day. One of the truck drivers (Nick) snd one of the cart drivers (Katie) do the drone footage for me. The cook has the most difficult job on the crew!
I think Nick secretly enjoys being on video! Keep the camera on him😂
Poor guy...so shy but what a great smile!
😊
Morning. I got in early.
❤️
I assume the cabs have AC? Does it filter out the dust when you're cutting inline?
Spectacular drone shots. Thanks.
And I click on the thumbs up before I watch, because I know it's gonna be good.
❤️
Yes, we have AC in the cabs. And there are filters too. They get dirty but get cleaned out on a regular basis.
Tracy you should have said Carols beautiful garden love your posts.
Such a beautiful garden area flower beds so lovely. Lots of hard work goes into such ... "Beauty"
👍🏻👍🏻
❤️
can you do a video on the daily service of your combine?
Only if I get up earlier than I do. And that probably won’t happen. Sorry.
Bom dia Brasil
Gotta love a Jesse James smile.
She’s got the best smile!!
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking I was hoping she would be there this summer. It's amazing how much great smiles can improve teamwork performance.
@@johnsimms6778 agree!
wonderful wheat crops but do they have some other crop in the rotation ?
Yes. They have spring wheat and barley.
Are the GPS driving the combines calibrated to the width of the header?
Yes
Those are sharp Pete’s. Is one a KW though…..
The orange one is a KW.
Thank you y should have 1 mil subscribe there is know one that does this thank u !!!!!
Ohhhhh, my…a million followers would be quite something. I have faith that those who should see it are seeing it. Numbers don’t mean everything! I’m so glad you enjoy the updates! ❤️
❤❤❤
❤️
Are there 4 or 5 combines running? It appears that there are 2 - 740FD, 1 - 745FD, and the HD5OF on the X9 1100.
There are 4 combines running. Two 40’ headers. 1 45’ hinged Draper. And 1 50’ hinged flex Draper. Just not sure of the model numbers
Crazy temperatures, going from 100°+ to 47° in 24 hours.
‼️
Great video Tracey, they are a great bunch of people who you are harvesting with. Is Mr A liking life in Montana?
They are super!! I’m not sure who Mr. A is? Do you mean Jim?
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking no the kitty you had last season?
@@johnfurnival4133 ohhhhhhh. Her name was Bear. I believe she got ran over. ☹️
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking poor kitty 🐈⬛😭
@@johnfurnival4133 😢
Great Job Tracy!
Will they Drill in Wheat immediately or will they work the Ground?
They do have their ground on rotation with winter wheat, spring wheat and barley. They will drill winter wheat in September. The barley and spring wheat will be planted next spring.
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking the Coolies are So beautiful but Dangerous and the Missouri River is Beautiful!
Being from Missouri I’d like to see it where it Starts!
A few years ago there was no wheat to harvest in Montana.
We’ve been coming to Montana enough years for harvest to know there are good years and bad years. And in the Jordan area that we used to custom harvest, getting a good year was to be celebrated big time.
It’s hard to beat a picture perfect field of wheat the sea of gold. Do the girls have a monitor in the cart to see when to speed up so it’s spread around evenly? 👍✌🏻🇺🇸
Same question, 6:10 to 6:25
@@rightsideofthegrass8114Combine operator moves relative to the cart to fill it up .
Combine operator moves relative to the cart to fill it up. Cart operator has a scale to know how full they are .
@@lynwessel2471 I knew they have scales in most of, I just figured they wanted the combine to keep on rolling even though it doesn’t take long to unload ✌🏻
@@davidfleer5307 You slow down the combine maybe 2 tenths of a mph for a second and you're moved back relative to the cart. We have machine sync. then the cart speed automatically matches the combine and the combine operator can move the cart position by touching the monitor screen in the cab. Cart diver just has to get close and then the combine takes over.
How many acres are you all cutting each day? Great videos!
Depends on the crop and field conditions.
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking sorry, I was under the impression from the videos, you were cutting wheat! Are you cutting wheat, barley, and say oats in the recent videos?
@@ronricherson1618 we’re currently cutting wheat. But what I meant to say was it depends on the stand of the crop. Whether it’s heavy or more on the thin side.
I’m a new subscriber I really enjoy your videos I live in East Tennessee. How many hours a day do you all stay in the fields?
WELCOME! We’re usually in the combines 13-14 hrs
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking i really enjoy your videos I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s
@@jeffreyadams8811 ❤️
what software do you use to edit your video and post on here?
I just use iMovie.
How did FRANK get his name?
Great video, awesome wheat.
She talked about this; 5(?) videos ago. Frank Final Tour, Pt 2, 6:40
Never mind Tracy, I’ve been informed about Frankenstein.
Well, when we purchased it, Jim told the girls we needed a name for it. Our #3 daughter was pretty little at the time. She suggested Frankenstein. Jim said we’d call it Frank for short. It stuck.

AWESOME - CONGRATS!!
@@ZeorianHarvestingTrucking Thank you
Is this y’all last harvest or just selling your truck?
We have already sold our combine. The truck was purchased by the farm we are working at. We are providing labor during their harvest.
Get a haircut and get a real job!!😂😂😂😂 On a serious note, how many acres a day do u harvest??
🤣🤣
I honestly don’t know how many acres they farm. A lot. I really have no reason to know this number. And if I did, out of respect for them, I wouldn’t share.
