Decides she's gonna play some Riders On The Storm, decides she's gonna play the organ, vocal and guitar parts all at once. Oh, and at a faster tempo just for kicks, and does it masterfully. She probably coulda done the drum parts too somehow and maybe a piano version of the rain and thunder and the audience cheering in the background and Ray's girlfriend giggling back stage, but ya know, this was just a jam... Incredible!
This song is seriously one of the most difficult songs I have ever tried to learn!! The hand independence it takes to do this right is enough to rack ur brain for months. It literally hurts my head to practice this. It was just AMAZING at how well she just pulled this off. Wow! Soooo much practice and skill!
12OclockLow that is one of the best descriptions of hand independence I have ever heard. How it impacts your brain. It truly is amazing to feel that when it finally just barely starts clicking together as ur right hand starts doing something totally different than your left. Very nice :)......
When I listen to Vicki's covers I often thing that I could add the correct lyrics myself without ever having heard the song before. I've been following her for about 10 years and I can say that for all her covers
This woman has an awesome art inside and the way she share it with us is equally unbelievable. It is a mix of sweetness, feeling and a good connection with her hands and mind. Especially this piece played by her is truly a work of art. Congrats!
Вы такая талантливая! Show mast go on
I am a huge doors fan and I am simply blown away by this performance!! Vika - you have captured the complexity and essence of this classic song perfectly - the piano, the vocals, the guitar.....plus a little bit of your own magic. Add to that your passion for the music and it's simply electrifying! You are simply the best and an inspiration to me and I'm sure a lot of others in the world. Roland Germany chose well when they picked you to help represent their products. Love it, love it, love it :-)
Yes, Vika Yermolyeva is a very well-studied musician and one of the best of our world! She is a prodigy that can do ANYTHING and I am personally mesmerized by her work. Her rock and roll piano covers and her classical work is nothing short of brilliance! She studied for many years with the very best (her CV is online). She is busy playing her piano at various festivals (piano covers), as well as continuing to accompany symphony orchestras! She is the new face of Roland Germany and that's no surprise. She worked hard for it her entire life and deserves the recognition.

So amazing, To see your left hand so steady and true with the baseline while playing so many different chorus and riffs with your right hand is something incredible. You are truly in another class. I love all of your work!
I know you get so many comments but I want to say that you are my inspiration. There is no one on this planet that plays with such emotion in their heart as you do. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.
She is fantastic, and can play any genre of music. I have been playing for decades and she is light years beyond me. I never get tired of hearing her perform.
Braaaaaavoooooo! You demonic goth angel princess!!! The timing, the bass, the melody, the vocals everything is there. I could almost hear the rain and thunder
Congratulations on the video, in my opinion you are the best Rock Styles cover pianist Rock and roll. Surfing music. Garage stone. Power pop. Folk rock. Psychedelic rock. Progressive rock. Glam rock. I'm a pianist in Brazil and I'm impressed with your technique❤❤
Just seen this after watching Gazamda's cover. Both renditions are perfection, and you can hear how both artists have totally different energy and emotion going into it. It's great to not have a favourite or prefer one over the other, and to just have variety in life :)
I was trying to learn this by ear and was like how the hell did he write this, let me see if anyone actually plays it that fast live, and I just confirmed that I am horrible at piano. But I will keep trying. Wish I had gotten lessons as a kid and kept playing throughout my life, but I gotta start somewhere. You are an inspiration for sure, very impressive!
Fantastic Vika, one of my favourite bands of all time. I can almost hear the echo of Ray in your arrangement. A great song and a brilliant arrangement. You really are a true MaestraVika !!!
You would go insane because of the necessary repetitive studying of different parts. On the other hand, I would never have a problem with that, being a player myself ;)
Ray Manzarek was one of the greatest keyboard players to ever live. The Doors were master musicians. Jim was as lucky to have them as they were to have him, and he knew it. That's why he never went solo."I'm nothing without those guys." He said. He was also offered movie roles, but turned them down as well. The Doors were his jam. You have to respect the loyalty. It's very rare, indeed.
I've loved this song since 1971, it was a 'coming of age' song for me - even as a pre-adolescent. One thing that strikes me is that this young lady covers many of the tunes that resonate deeply with me. She is an old soul.
I am 70 now and from the age of Led Zeppelin, Doors, Eric Clapton and Mary Jane was cheap and plentiful. Damn I wish I could go back 55 years years back in time. We had great music then.
The English language does not have the vocabulary to describe the incredible talent this lady has and what we just heard. Perhaps, in her native Ukrainian, that vocabulary exists.
+777scubadiver The word used to describe her talent is the noise you would make if, while walking down the street, an angel descended from heaven, handed you a suitcase full of hundred dollar bills, and placed a diamond studded crown atop your head with an engraving that said "From the big man upstairs".
Hello and congratulations for your beautiful interpretations of songs, I love The Doors, I am trying to play Riders on the storm on my Yamaha P145B at the moment, but being 63 years old and starting for 5 months, I am learning everything alone playing songs
You are the ultimate ccc player - complex, clean, and con alma (with soul, from the dizzy side of the same name). Before arthritis whacked it, I used to think I had a killer left hand, but yours is a whole assassination team. Your reimagining of Sounds of Silence amplified the thunder of the chorus, and created a post-storm ozone of amazement. Miles used to say he just waited to see what Ahmad Jamal would do next. VK Jamal, you make everything Poinciana.
keyboard players *cough* She's a truly awesome pianist, who just uses the advantage of a stage piano to give these awesome videoperformances to us. So please don't call her a keyboard player... :D
FxGuyhifi Any claviature is called a keyboard by definition of using the system. If it were a tuba then it wouldn't be a keyboard. I specifically used that term to not injure anyone's pride. In the end, it's irelevant. These days the feel is almost identical to an actual piano's keys (from clavis in french).
Well, then i misunderstood you, because the people around here see a difference between a pianist and a keyboarder :D If you speak of keyboarder, something like tyros 5 comes in my mind... maybe then you can understand that I think this is inappropriate for this kind of playstyle...

This is a free drug. Way its played is the same as original so has same effect. That band is awesome. Performace is aboslutely awesome! You are definetely the greatest piano player and music addict!

Def!
+vforvillain77 That's because she has 88 fingers. One for each key.
XD xD died
Couldn't have summed that up any better XDD
This comment made my night :D
This is by far the best keyboard version out there. This girl is really talented.🎹🎹🎹❤️

@@12OclockLow really relate to your words!
Drumming independence has the same effect on my brain. My brain is stuck on this but I know I CAN get it done if I stick at it (for months)
I agree I still can't play solo on this
Easily one of the most beautiful pieces of music on UA-cam.
Listening to this felt like a walk through heaven.
That’s bass line so steady, very impressive
I'm a lifelong Doors fan. This performance would make the band proud!
so subtle in her method of hitting each note and chord. She's actually feeling the song! It's like she and the keyboard have become one!
This is so cool. I couldn't believe this song could be performed on piano solo with such conviction.
I was always told perfection doesn’t exist, but then I heard this . It does exist in VKgooeswilds’s world
Thank you
When I listen to Vicki's covers I often thing that I could add the correct lyrics myself without ever having heard the song before. I've been following her for about 10 years and I can say that for all her covers

Man, this is just pure gold! What a talent.
I just love watching how she’s so totally into the music.

After watching this clip, I am almost about to quit trying to play this one on my keyboard. Hats off. Impeccable
There should be no thumb down button available on her songs.
She's simply amazing.
Agreed she is a marvelous pianist IMHO. Love to hear her work!
Many of them are nice but I don't like this one. I think it can be a lot better, that is why I voted it down.
Wow, can’t imagine what standards for voting this down. My brain can’t go there. Not faulting others for being able to go there. Just that I can’t.
Your wish came true.
@@gregorteply9034 beat me to it lol
That left hand must be really jealous of the right hand since it gets all the fun!
Both my hands are jealous, of her right hand.

Слушаю данный кавер в миллионный раз - восхищению моему нет предела. Вики, Вы прекрасны!
Such a nice version of Riders in the Storm and faithful to the original masterpiece! Congrat to you vkgoeswild !
Braaaaaavoooooo! You demonic goth angel princess!!!
The timing, the bass, the melody, the vocals everything is there. I could almost hear the rain and thunder
I can't get enough of this woman.!
Precise yet gentle touch: even if you're using a piano voice, it sounds liquid as a Fender Rhodes, like the original song.
Awesome performance! I didn’t even miss the thunderstorm. My first album of The Doors in 1970. 👍
This is amazing. I've never heard anyone play with so much feel for the music
The Bosendorfer grand is indeed a magnificent instrument, but for me, this performance remains without equal. Perfect.

Wow just wow... I am amazed how awesome people can be..
Bow to the piano princess!
more like goddess :p
+rhebrown22 I was going to go with queen, but I like yours better.
Ray Manzarek is a genius and a wizard of organ/piano
Thank you for your performance
The Doors for eternity ✨
No one can top that....she is awesome
If Ray was still here he'd probably appreciate this flawless cover.

I may be repeating myself but I love watching you play almost as much as listening.
Ray Manzarek would have loved this.
Indeed!
Lakers fan “would have” dumbass
Yeah indeed , poor Skrillex
Close your eyes and this could be Ray Manzarek and then you hear in your mind Jim Morrison. Beautiful.
I don’t think so....
Stunning. Brilliant. May God continue to bless you!
Some more The Doors please!!
yess
To be able to play like that with your head in a clamp ... truly amazing. 🎹 😉
I had an eargasm.

That roll down lick is so incredibly sweet. Every time you do it, it is magical.

Ladies and gentlemen we are witnessing a genius behind the piano. 👏 super educated fingers
Classically trained. In Europe.

Ray was SO talented and came across as a really top guy,and truly believe he'd have loved such a great interpretation of such a classic........
Rock solid rhythm throughout the whole song.
