Hereingbone does not need the threat on the right outside. Go up through the left side and the thread will not show.
When you go up through the left side you are square stitching and you lose the V shape that is the whole appeal of herringbone.
Sorry for the typos. *Herringbone *thread

@@aliciagrether8818Is it possible to make a necklace like this with a square stitch?
Thx. I just came to check if anyone said this. I've never had thread showing on herringbone stitch. Also I go down one bead on right, the up two beads on the left. 😉
@@MSHARLEYDWOKEAF me too. That is how I do it. Thank you for being clear on how to do it for the people who do not know.
What a fun project. I'm not very good at pulling from my stash, but that doesn't mean I don't have fun doing it!

I did not like seeing the thread on the outside. I love the pattern. I agree with #34 this is my issue as well.
I know this is an issue for some but you honestly cannot see it. Especially using a thread color that closely matches the color of your beads.
Lillian - I was wondering about that myself. 🙂
😊

What stringing material are you using? I want to make sure I buy all of the correct supplies to make this beautiful necklace!
Hello there! She used DragonThread in size 8 in golden beige color. Here is the link where you can get some! www.potomacbeads.com/wire-stringing/dragonthread/DragonThread.html
🎉🎉🎉❤👍🙏
Thank you for watching!
Não gostei da filmagem. Parte da ação está abaixo e/ou fora da tela. E, também, eventualmente fora de foco. O inicio do trabalho, que me pareceu importante para a minha compreensão da estrutura, eu nao pude acompanhar os detalhes.
Please,a question. Using the pattern as you’ve shown us, how long is the finished necklace?
Hello! Here necklace is about 16 inches in length. You can make this as long as you like!
What kind of needle are you using?
She is using a BeadTec Beading needle in size 10. This is the link for our "go-to" needles pack! www.potomacbeads.com/tools-supplies/beading-needles/beadtec-beading-needles-sizes-10-11-12-mix-pack-of-6.html
So I was unaware that in the Herringbone stitch there will be a thread viable on the outside of some of the beads. Is that correct?
Yes but you really won't be able to see it, especially if you use a thread that is close in color to the beads you are using.
don't you see the thread when you go down 2 skip 1 bead up 2 i would think you will see the thread, on the 1 bead you skip, I haven't tried it
You really can't see it. It also depends on the color of thread you choose. DragonThread comes in white, black, gray, green, golden tan and in 3 sizes, 5 (very thin), 6 (medium thickness), and size 8 (thick). Feel free to browse our DragonThead! www.potomacbeads.com/wire-stringing/dragonthread/DragonThread.html
I had to turn down volume of vid as her voice was not pleasant to listen to. That’s just my issue. Not hers! But this pattern is gorgeous and fairly easy to follow.
