Great demo Steve. I was successful in getting the Avaya App Store loaded after I performed the firmware update available on the support website. I kicked off the firmware update from a pc residing on the same subnet. Very straightforward process. This video system has surprisingly good interoperability with third party UC apps available in the avaya App Store. I was able to get GoToMeeting, Skype, WebEx Teams, and Bluejeans installed and working to name a few. It also registers with other pbx types with minimal configuration tweaks and works great as a sip video endpoint. I got a kick out of Being able to load Netflix, SiriusXM and amazon prime video on this and stream our video library on a business video conferencing device. My background is Cisco UC previously but I have to hand it to Avaya on this one, this product is pretty incredible.
Hey Steve! Question for you. My understanding you have to have some sort of cloud service to use cu 360 with. What is native service for cu 360 by Avaya?
Hi Florifahdd, I may be slightly, ok a lot, biased but I'd strongly recommend subscribing to the Avaya IX Huddle Room as a Service offer. You get the IX 360 as well as a subscription to IX Meetings for your conferencing needs. That said...the IX 360 runs Google Android. This makes the IX 360 interoperable with just about ANY conferencing service that has an Android app. If you have IX Meetings but get invited to someone else's WebEx call, no sweat! If you have a Zoom subscription but want to use the IX 360, no sweat!
@@SteveForcum Thank you so much. Tried to call Avaya toll free number to setup the service and they seem to be super difficult to deal with because I bought cu360 from CDW online. How did you setup your service with them?
@@floridahdd I have an inside connection (just kidding, I work at Avaya). Send an email to forcum at avaya dot com and I'll get you connected with someone local who can assist you with setting up a subscription.
@@SteveForcum Steve. Sorry to bug you again. Can you please confirm that avaya spaces account is what required to run cu360 on avaya platform. When I called customer support for spaces after account was created, they were trying to help me to install cu360 as a webcam attached to pc not as a standalone device it should be. I just want to make sure I bought the right subscription to use cu360 with. Again thank you for your help.
@@floridahdd If you're using Spaces (recently rebranded Avaya IX Collaboration) you can download the app on the IX360 unit from the App Store. We also have IX Meetings (a traditional web based video conferencing service) available. It may be easier to have a quick call to discuss the options. Send me an email at the above address and we can schedule a time.
Thank you for the video. Can you please confirm which version you are using on this presentation? I am using version V10_0_0_108B which has no support for Google Play Store! The only option I have is to install apps via APK files.
Use version 116 (available from support.avaya.com) it doesn't include the Google Play Store, as Google does not certify video conferencing systems with Android yet, but it includes the Avaya app store as seen in the video. If you have any questions just leave me a comment here and I'll give you a hand. 🖐
@@SteveForcum Hi Steve! Good video demo. How you get the version 116? I can not find this firmware version from Avaya support web. Can you help to share it?
@@joe2001and1968 Hi Narumit, The latest release (10.1.0.23) can be downloaded from here:support.avaya.com/downloads/download-details.action?contentId=C201971099242300_5&productId=P1680
Version 10.1 brings a most welcome addition to the IX360....calendar integration! A single click brings you into your meeting...no more dialing the conference ID!
Shin Kyeonxik so sorry I missed this comment! Yes, the CU360 can be used without ANY Avaya infrastructure. It works with basically any cloud video conferencing service!
while we shelter in place Robert Colderchant I’ll have to test but I believe the Vimeo Android App supports uploading videos, so yes...you can use the CU360 as a virtual video studio.
Hey Steve, Hope you are doing well. I need some help related to Avaya CU-360 calling configuration as I am unable to find any document related to it. I am able to share my screen with CU-360 but i am unable or you may say i dont know how to make a conference call using it. Can you help me out or can you share me its steps how can I use it for conference call.
Hi Rehan, Check out support.avaya.com for all documentation on the CU-360. To make a call simply open the CU-360 app and dial the IP or the extension (if you register to a gatekeeper) you wish to have a video call with. To host a conference call you’ll need a conferencing service (since the CU-360 does not include an MCU). I’d humbly suggest Avaya IX Meetings but you can also try Zoom, BlueJeans, etc. Good luck! Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi Steve, Can you please confirm what is the current Android OS in this device and also can we get Android OS updates later ?
Rajshekhar Android updates are available. I’ll have to check which OS is currently running on the device
