Great setup and I'm sure everyone is grateful for the tips. With that said, when I do corporate events, especially ones with no dancing, I don't focus on bass bottoms at all. I use a smaller sound setup that is capable of filling the space with sound, wihout bumping it. Especially since there's lots of conversations going on they don't want to compete with a DJs bass bottoms. Basically, you're there for background/mood music. Like you said, work smarter, not harder. You don't need the system you used. To each their own, but I personally don't use that much for these kinds of events. The only exception is when I'm booked for corporate holiday parties, where there will be dancing later in the evening.

Thanks for your comment! Yea, I guess it's just preference. I just like hearing the low end more. It makes the music more enjoyable and good to feel a beat. I guess just keep it at a good volume where people around can still talk over.

Very informative video. If I may, what type of recorder do you use to record your set?

Thanks! I used to use my Zoom H4N: amzn.to/3UG62Jf
But now I use my Zoom F3: amzn.to/42Lhvt5
Let me know if you have any questions about recording your set!

Very informative video for sure. I have a question about the Bassboss. My rig is all EV ETX gear, subs and tops....if you had to compare that BB15 with another brands sub cabinet...what would you compare it to?

Great question! There are other good subs out there but nothing else that's similar in my opinion. BassBoss just hits deeper and cleaner than other 15" subs, and even an 18" sub of a brand that I'm not gonna name. Or maybe there's one out there that you can compare, I just haven't heard any yet that's as good as BassBoss

Just a thought. With IEM's and a split cue function on your mixer, who needs a monitor?

Nice vlog, however with most of the corporate events I have done, they really don't give a rat's ass about your music. Just as long as its not rap with rated X lyrics. Nobody's going to dance or put their hands in the air like they just don't care. In fact, its just a money maker so don't feel bad if nobody dances or give you props. I think you went overboard with the gear as well. You may as well hooked up a 1/8 to RCA cable from your laptop to a scratch mixer with a pair of your EVOX's. I doubt anyone would care. Peace and thank you

yea that's true. It depends on the event though. I DJ'd a corporate event where they expected people to dance and I engaged with them in that way and loved it. As for gear, yes, I may have because I wanted to be ready for anything and I can always bring it down if needed.
