Love your reactions as they are both thoughtful and hilariously funny. You're correct that in the beginning none of them seemed to have dance background. I recall Harry was encouraged to take dance (ballet?) and yoga for back issues. Like most teenage boys, they seemed resistant. Eventually, believe he took something and Pilates, too. For Treat People with Kindness mv, he saw an old Nicholas Brothers dance that he wanted to emulate in style. He engaged a choreographer and worked in all his spare time to learn a dance. He also did a tap/soft shoe style dance in Don't Worry Darling that the credits mentioned the idea was taken from Disney's Skeleton Dance. One of his biggest assets seems to be that he is not afraid to try a new skill and then, works extra hard at learning it.

First single off of his new album, Harry has said many times that this is the album where he’s making the type of music he has always really wanted to make. PS this song was actually written as a slow song and kind of more melancholy when you listen to the lyrics. But it turned into this and was so different and back to the real 80s roots. Love it. It’s been number one for so long and not some of the records that it’s completely broken for how many weeks there. I’m sure this song will win either a Grammy or for the video itself. Can’t wait to you guys get to songs on his new album. Especially Matilda❤❤❤

1D was constructed to be commercial money makers for however long the interest was there. They were products to be marketed and sold for the most profit. That's why the songs were simple, made to make teen girls swoon. Even though they had input more as they went along and matured, they still had parameters that Syco and Modest management had them adhere to. As the boys contracts with Syco ended they now have the freedom to make the type of music they want.

I remember when this song premiered on April 1, 2022, and my skeptical sister (skeptical about Harry) wrote to me: " Did you hear Harry's new song? That's so good, I can´t stop listening". I was so happy that she likes it. I'm equally happy that you found your way to Harry. I listened to this song every day for a few weeks and I haven't gotten tired of it until now. It´s a banger! Harry is like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis.
It was shot in London's Barbican centre by Ukrainian director Tanu Muino, we are very proud of her here in Ukraine, she's filmed some of my favourite mv's, both for local artists and for some of big stars like Harry, Lizzo, Lil Nas X etc.
You're right, Harry's very focused on artistry and not cringed to call what he does art (Niall is though, lol). The things that influence him are so random, just recently at some of the shows in Chicago he mentioned some 18th centrury poem just casually talking to the crowd)) It's one of the reasons why I love his music and other projects a lot.

so, when 1d said that they 'don't dance' they meant as you mentioned choreographed dances and dance routines. They actually did quite a lot of dancing or 'dancing' on stage 😂however, the only one who had somewhat of a potential for dancing was liam 😅

I could go on and on with the symbolism and lyrics in the video. Really all of H's songs and videos are so deeply layered that it can be overwhelming. 😅 Truly amazing! And he's found the right person. 😉
It was written about his time in the band. He discussed it in an interview. It is supposed to be sad but everyone finds it joyful.
