I appreciate your effort in producing the video. But you failed to do your homework on speed scopes. They are designed to be zeroed in at the optic’s center (point where a light ray is not deflected but goes straight through lens regardless of magnification/speed dial setting). In the case for this scope, it is 40 yds. After using the elevation and windage to adjust the zero at 40 yds, use the speed dial only to make some other point dead-on, say 20 yds or 60 yds. All the other points on scope, if proportionally spaced properly by manufacturer, will be very close. If all these videos used that one fact, we would not have a ton of misinformation on speed scopes.

Must sight in at 40, not 20.

Fairly certain it's to be zeroed at 40yards and then with the speed adjustment function everything after is supposed to be on from 60 all the way up to 100yards. I've watched alot of videos and reviews on this scope and it's supposed to be one of the if not the best scope out there for the price it's offered for.

Brody, lots of good reasons to have 40 be the center and not 20. Since you can only make the reticle/math work at the center point and then make one other distance dead on with the speed ring, it's a lot better to dial at, say 40 and 80. 20, 30, 50, etc will all be super close still.
Scopes that have 20 in the center, and then say speed dial adjust at 60, can struggle to be close enough at 80.
Ravin has their center reticle as 50. Not surprising Vortex chose 40. Hawke XB30 Compact are also centered at 40.

I wish it was 20 yards. 40 seems a bit much and can't use at Vegas cuz I like to shoot center crosshairs

I had high hopes for this scope when I ordered it but The reticle is so small it’s difficult to see. The smallest by far I’ve ever seen on any scope. Sent it back yesterday. 👎🏻🤷🏼‍♂️

if you zoom it in the numbers and lines are not that small even for my 55 year old eyes

It's SFP so numbers don't change size as you crank up the speed/magnification ring.
But you can adjust the focus to make the small numbers sharper.
