Yet again, another wonderful video with beautiful pieces. The brown bird it a fun piece. It’s one of those pieces that can stay out year round 😃 I’m looking forward to seeing the chicory piece finished. Your gravel roads sound exactly like our roads here (Ontario, Canada)
Thank you for the kind words! The chicory piece is finished and I'll show it next time. There's just something about a gravel road - we love to go for drives on them. You get to slow down and enjoy the view!
As always I love seeing your prim stitching, thanks for sharing! It’s interesting that the dyed fabric dries darker outside in the sun than inside, the mottling is great! Brown Bird is wonderful, I have that book so I’m going to check it out. Ned & Jake is a great project, I look forward to seeing the finish. I’m not surprised that you have less stitching time right now, gardening and canning certainly keeps you busy. I think you and Drew are a great team, keep up the good work!
It is interesting drying outside versus inside. I never know what I'm going to get! There are so many projects in that book that I would like to make but Ned & Jake is going to come first. I'm really looking forward to starting on it. Thank you for the kind words!
I loved your video! I’m so glad I found you. You’re just my style. I can’t wait to go find your patterns and stitch some. I especially love the “Honey” pattern (that’s my grandmother name). The jacket-o-lanterns are adorable as well as the trio! I look forward to your next video. Have a great time on your summer adventures.
It's a very nice large mat when finished I designed and created the kit 9 years ago lol.. It was nice to see again I had forgotten how much work I had put into those kits back then
My daughter had a rat for a one week science project. He stayed 2years and then we found him a new home. I must say he had a personality. He loved to have a bath or shower and when the dog came close to the cage he would swat at his nose.@@AsberysEchoesStitches
Hello, I'm the designer and creator of your Ned and Jake wool applique you have shown in your video. Oh my gosh that was way, way back 9 years ago! It was one of my favourites to design and it has a 'story' as most of my designs do. I grew up in a small community in Nova Scotia, Canada where every summer the highlight was our local exhibition with both horse and oxen pulls. Our best teams from Nova Scotia were then in competition with the best teams from Maine. It was the highlight of the year for many and most especially my Uncle Herbie as he always put his teams in the competition. Ned and Jake were common names here for horses and in making the rug in memory of my Uncle, I envisioned 'Ned and Jake winning the competition and so the mat became in honour and memory of my Uncle Herbie and the exhibitions of my childhood although.. my Uncle entered oxen in the competition and they were not named 'Ned and Jake' lol. The inspiration for this mat was from an antique hooked rug. I hope you enjoy making Ned and Jake and on my UA-cam channel there are many instructional videos and how to stitch the design. Happy Stitching!
Thank you so much for watching my video and for commenting! I have a been a fan of your work for a lot of years! I have made two of your stockings and they come out every Christmas and are some of my favorite decorations! I love the story behind Ned and Jake. The stories always make things so much more special. I am looking forward to getting started on this - it might have to wait for fall though. When gardening finally dies down. I know I have more of your kits that I need to pull out and also quite a few patterns. They are all so beautiful and I remember I couldn't choose just one! I will definitely be watching your UA-cam channel. I want to do your work justice!
I hope you show the stitching on the wall behind you! Especially the stitched piece in the wood cupboard door! The lady with the red and blue material behind her. It is lovely!! I hope you make a reproduction pattern with her
Oh Rhonda!!! You have some amazing finishes & charts. You are talented beyond belief! What an inspiration ♥️. What do you dye your fabric with? Coffee, Rit dye (if so what color)? thank you. Hi Drew 👋🏼
Thank you for the kind words! I dye my fabric with a combination of instant coffee and walnut crystals. I did a Flosstube tutorial on it awhile back if you'd like to see how I do it!
I love the Fall Welcome trio and plan on getting it. They really do coordinate well. Are you planning a Christmas coordinating trio? That would be so much fun. Also a snowman coordinating trio for winter.😉 The wool appliqué chicken was so cute! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the kind words! Yes, I am hoping to do a Christmas and a snowman trio. Hopefully things will slow down around here soon so I can concentrate more on my stitching and designing!
Love your opening Rhonda and Drew: I love county fairs small but loads to see, I think you would enjoy it Drew. So glad you have it the way you want it, in your Pergola, oh my gosh Drew your voice is getting deeper, oh my Rhonda, I love that bird and twig, super cute finish. Ned and Jake are so sweet, looking forward to seeing it finished, we do not celebrate Halloween either, I prefer to go to Church on November 1st All Saints Day. I decorate for Fall, cute pillow, love the candy corn design, the warmer for me the better. The Fall Welcome is sweet, the quilt block is mt fav, the crow so adorable, Honey pillow is beautiful, love the finish to bits, so sweet. Hello Henry, you are so cute, cute Jack o' Lantern design, they are cute. Nice start, looking forward to seeing it stitched fully, love the fabric color, I like both dye colors, you are fine everything looks good, love seeing your both. Have an amazing week.
Love your new fall patterms. I am excited to see how your chickory project turns out. We have a lot of it along our gravel roads as well. I don't have a lot of fabric and there is no store near me, so I was wondering if you or one of your followers could suggest a linen color that would work with your fall patterns? Thank you in advance for anyone that can help.
I/m like you - I don't have a needlework store nearby. I order the Nate Berkus linen that I almost always use from Joann Fabrics online. I also order from 123stitch quite a bit. I like the Vintage Country Mocha Belfast linen. Thanks for watching!
I love Cee’s wool projects!!! She has so much talent and her kits are true heirlooms. Enjoy!!!
Thanks for letting me know can't believe how much work I put into those kits back then it was 9 years ago!

Thank you for the shoutout 💜 Your Honey pattern is fantastic!
Thank you and you're welcome and I hope your mother-in-law is doing well!
I can’t wait to see what floss you choose to achieve the color of chicory. It’s such a beautiful and unique color!
I ended up using DMC 3807 - Cornflower Blue. It might not be the exact right shade but it does pop against the dyed linen!

Beautiful stitching tonight. The HONEY sign is cool .Elaine MI Henry hamster is ok as long he stays at your house.
I used to feel the same way about hamsters! But I've decided they aren't so bad now!
