As a physician, I am really shocked by the increasing number of patients I can easily identify depressive symptoms. The vast majority of them never got any kind of treatment. Depression is a disease like any other and can kill, I have lost a cousin to this. We all love Doom Metal and this dark atmosphere, but if someone here feels that the burden is heavy, don't hold your cry and seek medical advice. May the Lord bless us all.
depression is just another name for lazy people that have nothing to do. if you are busy, you have no time for depression. this is my Grandmother point of view and she know what is she talking about, because she was a nurse and saw a lot of sad, horrible things, not to mention she has survived a second war destruction being 10 years old girl. your miserable patients should be tough like she is, and learn a lesson from this little old women.
Your grandmother knows nothing. Depression is a highly described disease with a lot of known neurochemical alterations. A lot of times it's not caused by any external factor but by intrinsic neurochemical alterations. Being depressive is like being anxious, you don't fucking control what you feel. Of course there are a lot of snowflakes in this generation, but don't confuse being sad with being depressed.
I can understand how this kind of music may not be to everyone's liking, but this song is an absolute masterpiece from start to finish. The music, the lyrics, the voices, the feelings it evokes... it's absolutely perfect in every way.
It's weird how this song affects you.. you put it on when you're sad, but instead of feeling even more down, it frees you, makes you float in space. And you feel all your sorrowfulness fading away..
That´s right. You know? Doom metal and melodeath helped me a lot during a time of harsh depression. Thanks to songs like this, I could curb it while I was living in a freezing country 10-14 years ago.
This song is a masterpiece. Pure pain, depression, melancholy and desperation.. "Death come near us and give us life!" I'm broken.. Long live Draconian!
I used to listen to it when i was 16 years old depressed, lost, alone. And im still in love with this. Im 25 years old now. Be kind people life is too short.
I'm so heart broken. Because my friend who had recommended me this masterpiece passed away yesterday. Rest in peace my bro. I wish u be happy wherever you go.
I'm recovering from a stroke right now and revisiting this really helps me. Gotta break openthLycia next. I recommend lycia's Pygmalion to you. If you like Galas you'll like this too.
I've been reading the comments and many have mistakenly placed this masterpiece into the "break up" category... This song however is much deeper in meaning; it's a story about the progression of Depression, loss of innocence, and wanting/ inviting death to ease the overwhelming emotional pain of life's journey.
Obviously about depression, i don't see how that could even be misconstrued... I guess people who have no experience with it might make that mistake? cold, dark world...
It's crazy how we're the same age feeling a similar way to find ourselves here. I was wondering how many people felt this song like I do. I would never share it with my friends. Something terrible must have happened in your life to make you relate to this song. It's a tough battle but you need to keep going. Take care
I used to listen to this every night and cry. I was so traumatized after my journey to europe from Iran. I walked illegally and crossed over 7 borders to get to where I am. I listened to this particular track every night for 7 months while I was in an asylum camp. Happy those days are over. I listen to this now to remind myself that even the hardest, most bitter days shall pass and we should just move on. This song doesn't make me cry anymore.... It makes me smile.
This song is the purest reflection of my soul. Every single part makes my heart lurch. I have loved this song for over a decade, it is still my favourite song of all time.
Nothing less than a divine work of art, a masterpiece. Draconian will forever remain the greatest gothic metal band that ever existed in the history of metal.
I lost my passion in music long time ago, i lost the feel of music for like 4 month NOW ITS BACK !!! I can feel everything in that song!!!! I can feel the music!! I can feel my sadness and every fcking feeling!!! I can’t describe this in words! Thank you for existing Thank you for your music I fucking love you so much!!!!!!!!
Depression is not a disease but a condition of the mind. Due to people concentrating in the illusory negativity of their thoughts which makes them feel hopeless. Instead of concentrating in all the positivity and goodness of life which eventually will help them find meaning in their life.
This is such a masterpiece that a person never wants this song to finish but last long as much as it can, pain and sorrow cover the whole body until you can't breathe. While being crushed under the extraordinary voice of Lisa Johansson and the brutal of Anders Jacobsson, the guitar wound your feelings. And the person finds himself in this black atmosphere.
The way the song sums up the beauty of melancholy, sorrow, grief, solitude, tiredness makes you actually happy, It's remarkable. There is no other song like this, this is all time masterpeace.
My brother who took care of me for 30 years as a father passed away of covid 19. I have lost most of i was. I dont know anything about this life now. But i wanna reunite with him.
I am 36 years old and I still feel chills over my body and want to cry Everytime I here this song, some people said that metal music and Especially doom music belongs to youth and teenagers only, but it's obviously the opposite, the more you grow older the more you get attached with your past and be more nostalgic and sensitive , I may grow even older and this music still send chills through my spine and make me want to cry for everything I lost and ever loving person I ignored left behind coz I was a fool for not knowing that love comes first, I admite I lost the one I love for a stupid desire that I wanted to achieve, and now I am stocked with a wrong person that I don't really love. I feel I am dying everyday million of times and can't do anything about it. It's my fault
33 here. When it's the music that you grew up with and got you through the chaos of your teenage years, it's with you for life. Sorry that things have turned out so badly for you, my friend. I hope things will become bright for you again soon, it isn't too late.
Absolutely correct! I'm almost 45 and listen to doom metal for many years. If you get older there will be more melancholy in your life.... But I meant that in a positive way. I have family and I'm a happy man and..... I love doom metal! ☺️🤘🏻
Well... I'm 52 and i know for a fact that music is ageless! Also feelings become much more profound as you grow older, perhaps due to all the goodbyes...
This song is a lot more relatable than I first anticipated. I love the alterning between calmer and stronger parts, and the clean/scream singers combo gets my attention every time. In this case it works perfectly. The atmosphere of the song is perfectly given by every instrument used, the variety of sounds enriches the whole piece. Great job! Also, I love how even though this video is years old the channel still puts an heart on some of the newest comments
I found this song many years ago when I was approximately 14 and I am currently 25 and I cried almost the entire song, all the feelings that I had in my adolescence came to me in these beautiful 15 minutes, I thank life for having come across this group and this song specific. I have to emphasize that I am Chilean, this song traveled a lot to my ears haha.
As a person who always tried giving his best , sacrificed everything to make the people around me feel better or idk , to make me feel some appreciation. But they'll disappointed me , family, friends and lovers. This is my second time on medication due to depression. I can't stand this life , so death come near me , save me.
What else can be said about this masterpiece. This is the best song on earth and always will be. I grew up in the 70's on metal like Sabbath etc. Became a punk rocker in the early 80's, I've seen more bands play live than I can count. I've heard more bands than most people will in two lifetimes and out of them all, this song is the one that really stands out. Draconian is the absolute top of their class and that is a fact. ❤
i remember sleeping to this song back in college. Is it almost after a decade now that i truly understand the song? i cant remember how long has it been
There are songs and then there are " songs " - this touched me it permeated through my ears to my soul and it shall remain there forever - depression and grief are personal and not one of us in this world is the same we all carry our guilt and burdens with us daily only to be momentarily released from this banal evil world and sent on a musical journey of wonderment - beautifully composed and masterfully executed
I remember listening to this on my mp3 player, and for a kid with such a short attention span as myself, I never skipped a minute I still love this so freaking much
CherryBombbbbshell this song came out when I was in kindergarten 😂. Still, ever since I first heard this song around 2011 draconian has been one of my all time favorite bands
It's amazing how well true, beautiful art can age. Even now, 13 years later, and I doubt anything could match this masterpiece. And the only thing that comes close is anything Draconian releases haha. I desire a song like this again. I know nothing will ever be the same. But I wish for such an epic 15 minute song on the new album. A new epic to obsess over. Well, Draconian never disappoints so I am sure the new album will be a masterpiece of its own.
I had never heard this band before. I think it is exceptional and the female voices have deeply relaxed me. Congratulations on your work. Even in darkness, there can be peace (I am a criminologist).

Usually I listen to hard and Raw Bm, But a friend suggested this song to me, I can say that I do not regret, having listened to the most heartwarming Song ever. F**K this is deep, and beautiful.
The music moves between Epic Metal and Gothic Rock, and the female singer has the nessessary Voice for such a kind of epic and rocking music... 1st class voice, how it's needed in this music!!! Listening to this Video I remembered the 1st albums of Paradise Lost and Tristania... Dark, melodic and soundful ... 👍🤘👍
There will always be the songs which are not yet discovered like this song. And sometimes it feels like you just live to discover all these fucking songs like this, a good reason for living.
I wish I could go back in time 8 years ago and have a chat my younger self the moment I discovered this song. I would tell my younger self that things worked out for the better. Though I keep listening to this song just for the beauty of it.

I thought it was Baby Shark :(
i can't believe this song is 15 minutes long! It goes by in an instant
It's power. Power of the deepest loneliness, depression, pain, melancholy and sadness in one song.
what are you talking about? it is a song of hope.
Absolutely!

I like Draconian, but Heike took this band to a different new level. She's just amazing with the last 2 albums, I'm hooked!
Keyword = different. Lisa's voice is more angelic while Heike's more like a wailing cry.. I always prefer Lisa.
Usually I listen to hard and Raw Bm, But a friend suggested this song to me, I can say that I do not regret, having listened to the most heartwarming Song ever. F**K this is deep, and beautiful.
Thanks for high quality upload!
One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard
Her zaman dinlenilmeyecek, dinlerken sadece şarkıya odaklanılacak özel bir şarkı

When you feel this majestic song, you will never be Fear of The Death
I ❤️ duration of this song. It´s absolutely satisfactory! :-))
Listen to it at .75x speed.

THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME PIECE OF DOOM
Thank's,Ahmad. For you say this song to me🙏

There will always be the songs which are not yet discovered like this song. And sometimes it feels like you just live to discover all these fucking songs like this, a good reason for living.
It's something that gets you through day by day
@Jorge Barão why would I? :)
I wish I could go back in time 8 years ago and have a chat my younger self the moment I discovered this song. I would tell my younger self that things worked out for the better. Though I keep listening to this song just for the beauty of it.
