Why did so many of us watch this as kids/teens? I remember randomly watching this and being SHOCKED by the wire scene and I've never forgotten it. I still remember a little bit about the ending but otherwise all I remember is the wire. Also it made me never ever ever want to go on a cruise ship which has only grown stronger after learning about how often people get norovirus (actual name for what people misname as the flu/stomach flu) and then if there's a pandemic you're stuck on the ship with limited supplies so yeah this movie is a huge DO NOT GO!! sign for me 🤣 Ps. Only looked this movie up because Julianna Margulies is on Armchair Expert today (5/24/21) and I was looking up what movies I've seen her in and totally forgot she was in Ghost Ship

A bunch of people getting sliced in half by a steel wire on a ship in the 60's might not be the best scene to use as an example of "music feeding the spirit."
This is almost the best opening in a horror movie. I love it!
