I’m a former Muslim who became believer in Jesus Christ. Jesus changed my life, that’s my evidence that He is real and He is God.
That’s because you’re special.
How did jc directly change your life
How do you know it was him
@@richardeast3328just like his mom used to tell him, but now he's an infidel to her.
what did Jesus physically do to make you believe? Why did you leave your old faith, and what changed your mind that your old religion couldn't? Honest questions here. Since no on truthfully has ever seen Jesus dont you think the changes that happened in your life were done all by yourself? Imagine if people gave themselves credit for making their own lives better and not give credit to someone you never saw and in the billions of yrs of this planet have NO Evidence. Life is so much more amazing when you realize religion is just Mental Slavery

"No one can sit at the bedside of a dying child and still believe in God"
-Bertrand Russell
Ignores the prospect of the afterlife, conjures a moral platform from a materialistic universe that prescribes no such thing, and uses that to condemn what he already believes doesn't exist based on a myopic and reductionist view of reality that he pretends differentiates from molecules bouncing to the left (helping gramma across the street) and molecules bouncing to the right (a kid with terminal disease).
TL;DR: So what lol?
@@Papa-dopoulosnailed it!

The only reason to believe in an afterlife (or God) is because you want one. There is no other indication whatsoever to suggest either one exists.
@@DH-rj2kv If I accurately reported the exact number of hairs on your head (let’s say after my prediction you had them immediately cut and counted in a lab), and then claimed that I was the son of God and that the afterlife existed, would you be more, less, or equally as incredulous as if I were to make this claim without the prediction first?
Not all religions can be right but they can be wrong.
Exactly. I never "chose" to not believe.
Rationality and logic left no alternative.

Edit: partially.
I grew up a Cathloic, my Christianity was beaten out of me. I was beaten by my religious teacher in national school and threatened with punishment if we didnt remember the gospel. Then we had the Christian Brothers and priests, they beat and abused the last bit of belief out of us.
That is appalling and is the polar opposite of the teachings of Christ. It says "If anyone causes one of these little ones- those who believe in me-to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." (Matthew 18:6, NIV) Those false teachers who abused you have their fate awaiting them. And David, think on this. If an atheist man was beaten by atheists when he was a child and turned to religion, emotionally that would make sense to us, but you, as an atheist, still believe there is no God and believing one is ultimately silly. We should not let the actions of some dictate what is ultimately true.

Bertrand Russell, a thinker who transcended academia, actively grappled with pressing social issues. His unwavering commitment to reason, clarity, and critical inquiry remains a timeless source of inspiration for scholars and thinkers across generations. His legacy encompasses not only groundbreaking philosophical ideas but also a passionate dedication to social justice, peace, and intellectual freedom. Russell's influence continues to resonate across disciplines, inspiring those who seek a more just, rational, and humane world.
His teachings transcend mere dogma and illuminate a path for humanity, free from the need for reliance on religion or gods.
Supposing any god is real, why is that god worth worshiping at all?
And why would he even want worshipping?

i mean isnt "atheism" the same thing ?.
being atheist is having morality from you surrounding society, so essentially there isnt morality from the first place, because everyone or every society will have very different moralities, and the biggest example is america regarding age of marriage, you have states that says you can get married at any age as long as the parents are okay with it and some states says you have to be up to 20 years old to get married.

I can say for sure I agree with him that Christian they always lie at any cost to prove that God exist, they will lie which is a sin. The prove that God exist numerous lies God doesn’t want your lies prove that he existed truth. They pretend to have the oldest spirit they’ll pretend to have seen ghost they would pretend to have experience with ghost and spirits.
well said
Sums up religions all around
Religions teaches arrogance is sin but preachers build a "YOU are better than them " mentality
Why bother mentioning sin to begin with then?
So you believe morality is relative?
I agree with Russell on what he says here.
He should have spent less time thinking about the dogma and more time talking to God.
Islam ,christian,Judaism all fairytale book

A really wise man.
The man said it himself, he never was a believer.
belief, unferstanding require age and effort, not something you can learn by just being born in a culture
I’ve had people that I’ve worked with get outright offended by my atheism even though I generally keep it to myself and don’t try to thrust my beliefs on others. Inevitably people will ask you which religion you practice or which church you attend. The closest thing I have to a religion are the writings and quotations of the ancient stoics.
ASK GOD FOR ANYTHING TO HELP SOMEONE ELSE...PRAY ON IT ALL YOU WANT...YOUR PRAYERS WILL GO UNANSWERED.
Dogma is: a belief based on tradition not scripture
These guys are funny. Why would a human mind be able to comprehend what a creator can do.
Pretend the "creator" is so incomprehensible we can't comprehend it, then somehow believe it exists anyway and mock others for not buying in to something you literally define as.. incomprehensible. That is just hilarious
@@Korkzorz ok then tell me with human brain what made DNA
@@910iva Your question is already wrong, you are assuming "something" made it. The real question is "how" did DNA come to be... You think it's magic and I think it's not. We'll probably never sure for sure but there are several good "guesses" that don't involve magic... And it's perfectly fine to not know something. You dont get to insert your god just because there is something we dont know.
I'd suggest you go watch the origin of life made easy or a simple google search will lead you to several good sources I'm sure.
we actually can but you decided to deny yourself believing this would be impossibpe, if God is unknowable nobody can teach about him so chrostian prechers would be all madmen.
@@910iva Why, what does that have to do with the fairytale of the baby jesus?
It's Mr. Cholmondley-Warner's Friend Greyson.
So that's where Enfield got the voice.
I’ve seen a lot of comments saying they were forced into religion. That’s terrible.
This is the sort of thing you need to figure out on your own time. Not something to be forced into.
Kinda sounds like the same thing going on about genders and sexuality… hmm
1Cor 1:26-31. What kind of a just God would only give enlightenment to the worldly intelligent? That's why his opinion matters for nothing.
Everyone focused on the relief or hope that loved ones of the child might feel knowing the child's suffering has ended and that he's in a better place ignores the suffering the child endured before death, which is often long and excruciating. Trying to justify that suffering with original sin, free will or simply "God's" mysterious ways is a convenient way to blame the victim. Ignoring it while continuing to worship the God that permits it is like watching someone beat another to death and ignoring it because the killer promised you a nice house if you kept your mouth shut.
The argument againt religion need not be any longer than this one.
Sadly where he is now its begging for the christian god to save him
Everything that cannot be understood does nevertheless not cease to exist. -Blaise Pascal
'I never once questioned something I thought at 18 years old and remained spiritually stagnant.'

Why do you not beloeve the sky is green? I dont know how anyone decides to believe something. You either believe it or you dont. You dont decide to believe.
Great man!
Jesus loves you all and I hope you hear him one day calling to you 🙏🏽
Shove it!
@@davidfiler7439 Oh wow
Bigfoot loves you
@@theborderlinegiant That’s good for them, once we have actual proof they exist
I get why religion is a thing. People need guidance, what God wants from us.
Doesn't mean you should turn your reasoning off, which seems to be mandatory.
I'm most familiar with Christianity, and the things we believe in are so ridiculous, we know deep down it's all bull.
I guess this man himself has been at every person's death bed to know all of these facts, particularly often what is going on silently in one's own heart. Is this supposed to be a joke?
God isn't real. It's just imagination of humans. It's in fact foolish to believe in such a thing.
smart man
Why do we have to label everything? I am not an atheist, I am not agnostic; I am a human being and I do not believe in any religion. If someone needs religion then I accept and respect it for them but it not for me and I don’t expect to affect me in any way.
If you don't believe in God then your are an atheist. That is all it is. No big deal. In a free secular society everyone can believe what they want, and everyone is free to argue about it and insult each other on the internet!
God is not here for you, you are here for God.
Ok, good for you, kind of an awkward statement to just throw out.
How would he know what people are saying on their death beds, SMH
He should have read Master Nursi's books which are called Risale i Nur Collection.
If any of you doubters actually took the time to research the Bible and it's historical contents, without preconcieved ideas, then you would see that their is more evidence for the existence of God and Jesus Christ than there is william shakespear but most of you won't because you don't want to admit that their Is an ultimate moral authority. This guy says there is no evidence in support of christian dogma, how sad he he had all those years to study and show himself approved like the Bible says to do but obviously never did.
The proposition the if Christianity isn't "true" then its not worth "following" is a profound, and forgive my language, stupid claim, even if Christianity was not true and if we didn't had enough "evidence" as he put it, the teachings of Jesus Christ of Nazareth are profound powerful teachings, to claim such a thing is waste of time and that is worth throwing it aways is a very sad and untrue stateman coming from a man who is supposed to be high regard in the matters of the mind.
He knows the truth now....😊
prove it
What smart people think.
JESUS IS COMING BACK SOON
prove it
For me my life with out Almighty God YAHWEH is just like naked in the public
This the same guy that thought Stalin was one of the good guys???
He makes a great point and a logical one. I for one hope he’s wrong.
