Sorry guys, my car kind of stunk up the place, I think maybe it bent an axle in shipping because it rolled beautifully before I shipped it off. It was my first build so live and learn lol
In the first round we got a clean sweep a dirty sweep a mustang crash big air a 14 second time and a new track. This is looking like the best season yet!
The SVO Mustang has the 4 cylinder turbo engine up front making it more balanced for better handling in real life situations. In diecast form the SVO is heavy for fast downhill runs. If your looking to get into a classic Mustang the SVO is a bargain because even though they are far rarer than a GT Mustang the cost less because everyone wants a 5.0 like Vanilla Ice.
Hmmm...I like the look of the changes but we ended up with 8 races of no close races. Too much separation and not enough chances for contact to change things. The old track gave a better balance of incidents.
I think it was more about the imbalance of the car speeds. But the fact that the winning cars won in 7/8 starting positions means if you have cars that are evenly matched it could be a very close race.
While I respect that this layout favors performance for the true "die" hard fans, as a spectator the zany action and drama of the stacked 2x2 starting grid may have made for better viewing. Maybe later in the season as fast cars start getting grouped together things will get more interesting, but having two of the rarest accomplishments, clean sweep snd dirty sweep, both occuring in the very first race makes me worry there's not enough chaos being injected. There wasn't even one example of either in the last two tournaments. Time will tell, but I missed the typical level of silliness in these first two races.
I see what you're saying, but I think once we get past the qualifying rounds and we have nothing but the fastest best handling cars, we are going to see some pretty intense racing. We might even see some very real photo finishes.
Big six performance takes me back to when I was a kid. I had the super electronic garage set in the late 1990's. Back then, I had this silver pickup truck hot wheels that used to be faster than every other car. So much so, that any car that wasn't heavy like my Jaguar E type, or the Avus Quattro which was also very fast, the silver truck would just ram them off the set entirely. Nothing could beat it. Unfortunately, it along with the set was lost, then a lot of my cars from that era. But the Avus Quattro has managed to survive all this time with me, still in good condition. I have other cars that survived childhood with me, but the Avus is different because I believe that car is probably the same age as I am. Meanwhile, Will C car was like this yellow nameless car I found. Its windows were missing, but otherwise in good condition after I cleaned it up. But no matter what I attempted for it, that used to be by far one of my slowest cars. Even slower than a 6 wheel toy I had of whose rear tires could actually turn. It had something underneath, I think it was a truck for smoothing out dirt and had tires like it. But anyway, it was slower than even that. The only cars that it could beat downhill were the X-V racers sometimes, I think, and some other cars that may have had rubber tires. I don't know which of my cars would be the fastest now. I have 3 containers full, + 2 bags, and a car holder in rows of 3 like 3D has of cars. It would take me so long to figure out which would be the fastest if I tried now. But anyway, watching this race for some reason really takes me back to those days.
I certainly didn't expect to see this track be reengineered so early. But it's for a good reason, addressing two common complaints: lack of room for overtakes and faster cars being held up in traffic. Although most of the original layout is respected, it's essentially a new game now, that favors raw speed and stability. I really like the two groups per video, this KOTM season will move much quicker now. Also, the Mustang nameplate is not that important in this situation, what really matters is that it's a BlueLine! Wanna order a Gapplebee's? Any car that comes out of that shop will have you very well served! The true professionals of the business. Tough draw for Electric Pickle, however. That's a team with potential to grow.
Adriel, wonderful changes to Race City! I can't count all the diorama tidbits that are flat-out beautiful. The 4-lane to open track is real eye-candy, and the grooveless straights will make for real cool lane-changing passes. Your intro digital graphics are sweet. One favor I ask, please! Could you flash the names of the drivers in their lanes just prior to the green light for each race? Again, you've really made solid improvements to your track. You are the king, my friend!
What a track, and what an awesome set of races. You guys have absolutely smashed it with the new track sections. Can't wait to see more. Easily one of the best diecast channels going. Many thanks for all your hard work 💯👍🇬🇧🤜🤛💪👌😜
Go Blueline! Big Six DOMINATED! I even loved Will C's consistency. I really enjoyed seeing how fast the fastest car is with the 4 lane start. Normally they only get one or two chances to show their speed. While the competition might not be as tight in these qualifying rounds, I'm enjoying the quality of the racing.
@@Jay-jb2vr maybe but those obstructions(cars and otherwise) kept the racing close. Unless these rounds had seriously unmatched racers I can see this series being very dull.
Xander finishing last in the 4th race, since he'd already clinched advancing, was just so he could pass the finish line Crazy Jimmy style, and stop in front of the spectators with that classy 450 degree spin ending facing the camera. What a showman..

@@Chris_Hoodthat’s great feedback on the timer. This was my call and I’ve always felt like having six digits displayed on a timer was visually a bit too heavy. As I develop a timer that is kid friendly for families to use, I think using the four digits helps. For this track, I think maybe a five digits display might be best, but I could only find them in four or six digits. Maybe going with six and covering the last digit in the case would have worked. If there’s a timing tied that impacts position or scoring, maybe they go head to head in each lane for four laps. Top two lanes, then swap lanes, then bottom two lanes and swap. As for the rest of the track, there’s nothing like this out there. It will be interesting to see how racing plays out in the tournament. I just finished catching up on the last 2 seasons of KotM since discovering this channel a few months ago, and I gotta say this has been my surprise favourite channel for the year so far! I do miss some of the cut details from the intro graphics for each car though, like the maker of each casting and the driver's hometown. As a Brit, I've been cheering on every English, Scottish or European driver along with any non Hot Wheels underdogs, but with the current graphics I have no idea where these drivers or their cars come from.
Proof that the new track is very well balanced is that the fastest car tends to win in every position. I bet we'll see a lot of clean sweeps on this tournament.
They might need to qualify spectators, too. "If you see a Mustang smash into spectators, do you as well?" Any YES answer should qualify for a Front-Row upgrade.

Holy cow man. Ya know Blue Line also beat the record at another track(not saying) recently.
Hey guys, The new track handles well. Everything you thought was going to be better is better.
If Jihnny smoke ran that track....never mind. Awesome improvements. I really enjoyed.
2nd race reminded me of Clutchin Kitten. Awesome racing...Just...it's over too soon. Thanks guys.
I can’t tell you how much I love the 4 lane start!! Kotm is forever better now ;)
Agreed
So good to see an f-body Camaro make an appearance and hold its ground. And also not kill anybody. Which is a nice choice I think. I absolutely love the new track layout. This is going to make for some awesome racing! And it sounds like 3D is starting to come around to the Mustang theory.
Ah, it's that time of year again! I'm starting to actually look forward to this tournament.
Love the new track!!!
Love the clean sweep
Love the dirty sweep
Awesome work 3D. Well worth the wait.
I love this new track for this edition of King of the Mountain.
I live in Japan and love the way race track displays Japanese props like Donque jote, 7-eleven and drug stores. Wish you had mount fuji in the middle of the track
Wow that Mustang really did a clean sweep 👏 👏 👏 O-mazing
That fox body mustang is killing it. I love it,
darn, a clean sweep *AND* a dirty sweep in the opener for KOTM !?
excellent !
I think that CRX is a stunt car ;)
6:40 the CRX just pulled a drift!
Sooooo good the new contruction on the track..a refresh & a new oportunity for a FATALITY.jjajajaaja congratulation for the winners...that crx looks soooo good that paint job. The mustang will give some fight for the racers.. congratulations 3D .allways making the diference 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Love the new track scenery, looks incredible. Although, we didn't get as many of the exciting collisions on the track that make KOTM exciting. We might need more mustangs!!!
KOTM is back, y'all! Really liking the addition of the highway even though it makes me miss the old setup.
3D 2D this track and the graphics is fire my dudes you guys are the BOSS. Love love love it and your commentary hands down is as always funny as hell and the best. I like how you added 2 races together it’s so much better now. Love the new changes
Siiiiiiiiiiiiick! :D
With 4 closer cars that's gonna be real awesome :)
I just think you should had a row of lamp post on the top Highway. The lighting feels a little bit strange like it for now
Great to see the upgrade to the track!
It will result in fairer racing action, with the better builds not being handicapped as before.
Then on the next round the racing action will be fast and close. Good one. Thumbs up.
Good luck all, Marc D
Very Nice changes on the track, awesome job
Just like the wave conjugation.....I nearly spat out my food when I heard you say that. 1 X 1 =2 now. Thanks for the laughs and the clean sweep, keep up the great work guys.
