Sir, I am from India I don't have a coach. I practice myself I bought some of your courses from chessable I read chess books a lot and watch your videos and chessbase india. I am your big fan. Sir, do you give online classes 1 on 1?
@@ChessCoachAndras My bad luck 😔 I really need a coach like you because I don't where I am lacking and I am practicing but still I am not improving and I think I am doing something wrong and I just need right guidance
There is a 30 hour course on Chessable by a GM on odd 1st moves and flank openings, also GM Shankland advices against taking these uncommon openings lightly because they still pack a punch like 1.b3 and 1.f4, etc. I’d rather buy a course by Andras that aligns with the rest of his repertoire
Andras, and to a slightly less extent Esserman, are why I play chess the way I do . . . Still very poorly . . . but I've dropped the London 🤡 for the Scotch, Morra, Blackmar, Alapin, and Von Hennig gambits. Not always fire on the board, but the clarity is refreshing.
I crossed 1650 recently and I've been fumbling games because I've been missing the dynamism and the killer instinct in the attack. This video is great to analyze, I'll be trying to work on it more with your advice.
I am reluctant to sac because even for the cost of a pawn my oponent who's up in material can force trade or make me going backward. I am reluctant because when you sacrificed the pawn there was no mate and I am not confident about my endgame skills ( as well as my checkmate skills )
So then you know that the problem is not with the sacrifice bit with the associated skills. So you need to work on those, rather than refusing to sack at all!
I don't quite understand why Rae1 is a good move besides Lxh6. It feels like the rook isn't doing anything and therefore your moving the rook instead of developing it.
Even if you get a queen on h7, in most scenarios the f8 will already be evacuated and the king will be on its way to escape through the e file. It's entirely within reason that you play Rae1 and then d5, to prevent that from happening.
He just wanted to highlight the move to showcase the development lead. Obviously e1 is the best square for that rook. He calls it pretty because you can obviously see the development difference between both sides. All just for a mere pawn. With that being said, Rae1 is the second best move in the position.
It just brings another piece into the attack, even if it's not completely clear exactly what the rook is doing, if it's in an area of the board where you are attacking and in an open file it's probably going to help somehow. At the very least it's a developing move so it can't be bad. In this case it's just not neccesary because white already has the firepower to breakthrough.
Love it! Only me (1100 rapid) always seem to throw away the attack because I cannot find the right breaktrough 🙈😭🤣 +2 or more after king’s gambit openings and still not able to convert… most of the time… But when the attack pays of… totally worth it!! It’s romantic chess or go do something else 😉🤷♂️🥳
@@TravisBerthold What do you want me to say? I dont think white has a move that does not win....:) The engine thinks it's +7.6, but I am honestly surprised its not more than that.
I tell my son things like “This army is ready to fight while the other army are looking at their phones”
Brilliant
Thanks for another great video. PS I really enjoyed your interview with Mustreader!
@@kingscrosschessclub glad you liked it!
Short but instructive. Good on ya, mate!
“supposedly a better player than my (1597) opponent “ 😂😂😂 supposedly 😂😂😂 one of the most decent and generous chess teacher ever!
I'll have to watch this a couple of times. What a break through.
Brutal attack, and out of thin air! Love the Qe1 to Qh5 idea
Exceptional as always, coach.
We have the same attacking setup in some lines of the Urusov gambit!
Andras comes from Carnage City, Australia
@@arimorrison7816 💪🔥💪🔥
"Carnage" is an anagram of "Cangerra", which is almost the name of Andras's city!
@@robwatson1617 Wow, never thought of that!

When are you making a repertoire on Chessable from Black against odd first moves coach? Your Black repertoire there is not yet complete
Odd first moves -> opening principles, which he has a course on.

@@epictetuscasanova please do! Analysing such positions is a great way to boost your chess !
Good stuff. I wish I could flip the switch to playing dynamically instead of playing for material.
Nice.. can't wait until you get to the 1900-2000 level

I mean Bxh6, Lxh6 is Dutch notation :)

WE ARE CARNAGE!!!
Hey coach, I thnik the easiest way to win in the excercise position is Ng5 Rxf6! (Knight) and Qf7#
Love this gambit, sac the rook for the knight on f6 and thats it ggs go next😆
BDG! Posted for the algorithm!!!
I gambit my Queen regurarly, what do you mean Andras? 🤣🤣😂😂
@OfficialHappyChess bring on the Botez (gambit)! 😍😂
Dear Andras, can we swap brains? Please?
rf6 and you sign the scoresheets
To be honest I felt that your attack would have been refuted had your opponent played Nd7 instead of h6...
Black was well beyond saving by then. Nbd7 loses instantly to Bxh7+
@ChessCoachAndras Lemme have another look.
Bh7+ Kh8?

Not disagreeing with you, but just don't see a clear win as like most of your viewers I'm a much lower rated player.
