Way I do it it find the heaviest object I can drag around. Drag it around going up hills and anywhere to cause the maxim load on tractor. Do this while holding clutch peddle down. Eventually it comes loose.
It gives great visibility but I have to fix the seat adjuster because it is seized up and tilted too far forward. Makes it feel like you are going to be thrown out over the dash lol. Also not a great tractor for brush hogging close to trees with low branches.
Why did he want to have the clutch pushed down when they were trying to unstick the clutch buy pulling it. Doesn’t make any sense. It wouldn’t have made any difference at all if the clutch was actually stuck. I had mine stick 2 times. I just start it and pop it in gear and when it’s starts moving I would keep up shifting buy jamming it in gear. Drive it for a while and both times it freed its self up. Bought mine new in 67 and still use it today. Same motor and clutch. Just changed out the original starter. Hour meter broke in 1982 with 15000 hours on it. No telling how many hours it actually has buy now. Been a good one
It makes.perfect sense to have the clutch pedel depressed while you trying to start it ,I've sometimes driven around with the pedel held down while taking the revs up and down ,that works sometimes
this worked for me! Tried pulling everything, even tried chain and a tree, Dint help. I just done what you said shoved it in high range and shoved it in the hears and it unstuck within 1 min
@@stevewatr it was white originally I think that orange color is rust, if it is its atleast 15 years old probably. I always run rotella t6 15w40 in mine
I have a generator. They make a kit to convert to an alternator. Not sure if it works on the diesels. The problem is the tach drive is on the rear of the generator.
We got a ford 5000 too its funky at times. Recently i had it stop working in reverse then all a sudden it started working again. Not sure what it was all about Had to take apart our voltages regulator too to get the genny charging again working like a charm now Now our 3 pt hitch isn’t working. Its stuck in the up position. Ours is a 1975 also have a 4610 4x4 its an 89 and has never gave us problems
Make yourself a stick to hold the clutch pedal down when you leave the tractor parked, it will keep the clutch disc from sticking.
A lot of times you can rev the engine as high as it goes for a bit then let it idle and rev it up again and that can free stuck clutch plates
Yes there is a filter inside the power steering pump. Baldwin filter number PT548. There is also a big O ring to seal it . You need both.
Thanks. I ordered one already.
I had the same problem on myh Ford 4000 and just had to split it. It wasn`t such a hard job.
You were due for a stroke of good luck like that. Glad to see it.

That is really nice I forget the style that is but it's nice how your way up high

Pedal adjustment 🤔
I jacked mine up on one side. Tied it to a tree , put in high gear , then dropped the wheel down ,it came loose
Get going in 4th push the clutch in and hit The brakes ..it will come free or blow up the clutch
And those 5200 have automotive type power steering I always have used ATF in them you should only have a haft inch free travel in the clutch pedal
Those tractors have 3 places you can adjust the free travel for clutch
There's a hydraulic cylinder under the radiator for your power steering. It's a real bear to get to and remove.
My steering valve is leaking so the fluid level is too low.
That's a late 5000 that doesnt have the cylinder under the radiator. Its built into the steering box.
Change ur oil that filter looks 25 years old or so
Lol. Done. You might see it in a later video. I think it was originally orange and faded to that color.

Does this tractor have an alternator or generator? Our 1967 Ford 5000 has a generator.

If you have a nice place to work that is varry easy tractor to split if you have a concrete floor
That’s the power steering pump
If I were you I’d fix that clutch before it becomes an issue to where it becomes an issue to where you can’t afford to fix or replace it
I figured maybe one or more of the pressure plate fingers are broke

No broken parts. Was just stuck from sitting. Working great now.
@@stevewatr thats the best news. Its always a relief when nothings broke
chain to a tree and let it dig in different gears it will come loose.
Thanks but what we did worked just fine. Clutch is working at 18:10 mark in the video.
Steve it's not fixed
Put in low gear low range let's moter act as brake
Now that you've fixed the clutch, ... take a few minutes to slap the marbles out of that kids mouth, and make him a better man.
This is almost comical 😁
