Variety is the spice of life, even in burpees. My favorite variant is burpee box-overs because I find I can get into a good rhythm that moves quickly but doesn't exhaust me. My least favorite variant is traditional standing burpees because they feel monotonous and more of a grind. Thanks for the video. I'm going to try the target variant today and see how it feels. One day, when I can do a bar muscle up, I'll try that variant, but for now I'll stick with the burpee pull-up.
Thanks Ben for another cool video! My favorite burpee is the splat burpee. Although this style gets you tired pretty quickly, back in the Covid quarantine when working out at home, I started each workout with 50 of them to get warmed up and to actually move after sitting all day. Got to admit that if I could do bar muscle up, I guess that would have been my top choice. Anyway, my least favorite style is with the box jump. As you said, it's easier to get yourself injured.
Amazing video! I'm going to try this out soon. Question... have you ever tried out a meal plan from Next Level Diet? I got one of their custom muscle-building plans and I love it!
It depends - Rx used to be two foot take off and landing but they changed it for the open! Usually each gym or comp will have their own standards to adhere to but I think it's a good idea to practice 2 foot takeoff!
Get really good at burpees with Burpee Blueprint - bit.ly/3UpRXwR (discounted for limited time only!)
Shoulder press burpee is my favorite so far. Standard burpees least favorite because not challenging enough for me and too simple.
