United States Naval Academy Yard Patrol Summer Cruise
The Atlantic Professional Afloat Training (LANPAT) offers midshipmen practical training in navigation, seamanship, and engineering aboard the Academy's Yard Patrol (YP) Craft.
This summer training program is divided into three phases: a classroom phase, an underway training phase and an out of area assesment.

My dad was stationed in Annapolis on the yps and they would come to norfolk to do maneuvers and me and brother got go on board for a day afterwords theyll throw water ballons at each yp there was 12 yps back in the 70s it was funny
