traditionally Indians kabhi Suraj dhalne ke bad khana nhi khate the, angrezo k aane ke bad selate krne lage n gao mein aj bhi shyam ko khana kha lete hai and mere Ghar mein to aj bhi city mein 7 baje tak dinner ho jata hai
In village this happens mostly people eat early .Due to electrification lpg facilities even many famlies in village eat late night

Dear Moazzam,
Public in India is too busy to get or show remorse during marriages. You are right if you speak about scenerio sixty years ago. Nowadays marriages are a one day program & Bhangra, Gidha, Catering etc during marriages are performed by professional teams which charges a hefty amount. It may be possible that after twenty years, the guests may be hired & paid for their presence during marriages 💑. Thanks.

Currently most of the families in India are 'Nuclear Family' not joint families.
Sirf 10-15% families hi joint families bai ab India me.
Yes, 30 years phele, joint family was a norm byt not anymore.
This percentage is not true for villages, and majority of population resides in villages.

@@rittikrudrapratap yeah we have to remember that the no. of ppl residing in urban areas is still a minority. Honestly, I would like it to remain a minority. Urban living is anyway causing a societal collapse in many developed countries; real estate becomes more expensive and overall living standard goes down along with fertility rate. It will be better to focus on developing services far and wide across the country so there is no large divide between cities and villages.
Indians love wedding season watching ladies wearing Indian traditional lahangas, colourful designed dresses, gorgeous jewelry different hairstyles, open and beautifully trimmed hairs and different hair colours is a real treat for eyes

Okay lets break some points -
Unlimited honking - honking in some cities like Mumbai can be a problem because there's huge traffice. Its not same in rest of the country. Atleast it is lesser than mumbai or bigger cities.
Having Late dinner - Its not the Indian culture to have late dinner. In villages and even in cities, people have dinner around 6 7 . It is only that pathetic Corporates where they don't let people leave early from the office so they have to have dinner late in evening. But if you see in towns amd villages, people have dinner by 6 or 7 pm and go to bed by 10Pm.
Dancing - In this SouthKorea it self is an exception because all over the world, people love dancing except in Korea( I mean who the hell goes for karaoke).
Wedding traditions - The guy explained it wrongly. India is not preserving uta culture from any one. Culture is far more superior. And the fact that Western Catholic tradition is marked as "modern" is just pathetic. Just because people are having temporary weddings in western countries and don't respect the vows doesn't mean that it is the normal thing. No its not. Marriage is a sacred thing and India knows how to respect it.

personally for me, I look at that as patriotic towards my culture. India is an entity left over by the british after partition and it has way too many colonial structures still remaining like education and judicial system (we have to decolonise these). My identity comes from one of the thousands of cultures present within the larger Sindhu (a.k.a. Sanatan) culture which spans the whole subcontinent, uniting all our ppl. From afghanistan to sri lanka, and from sindh to manipur.
I don't look at this as a religion, there is no concept of religion in our culture. In my opinion, hindus who are trying to make this a religion are mistaken, they are tarnishing the image of our culture. No matter the religion, this culture is for its people and beyond, if others want to adopt it.
The world is my family; then, the other countries of our subcontinent are my closest siblings. We have a shared identity. and ofc, I am a citizen of India and always grateful to the country, hoping one day we can reunite this region based cultural roots and don't divide based on religion.

I understand the pain and suffering that ppl in this continent during british rule and muslim conquest.
