Philip, why don’t you have a portable “doghouse” and a salamander kerosene heater a few steps away from your drilling floor? You can have a windbreak, keep warm, and more importantly keep your gloves dry. A doghouse can be made from about four sheets of plywood and some indoor door hinges and pins to setup and breakdown. We’ve used these for years.
@william6526 this would have been longer if we found water. Future videos will be longer, they just take alot longer to edit. Since October i had tested a few different things to see how the algorithm worked. I learned that my original content once a week performed the best.
I am assuming that lube is the same as I buy for automotive copper no seze.. I use on bolts an studs. My question is I have noticed regardless of how well covered the thread of drill extension is you all always re apply more… Is their a reason? Also if god forbid a drill bit gets wedged you can’t reverse due to coming apart but how on earth do you dis lodged the bit? ( as in she will not turn or go down anymore an she comes up tight when trying to retrack the extensions) 🤔🤷🏻♂️ lol maybe 60 70 years ago when we could buy caps and dynamite, I could possibly see dropping a quarter of a stick down and touching it off but now days that would be a ohhhhh crap!!!

We call it Boxing day here in in the UK and it’s still a holiday
Always have a spool of dental floss and good size needle. In the truck. It make a great strong thread to quickly stitch up a rip or in your case, a bad zipper. In the woods hunting and rip your pants, dental floss for the rescue.
Hey there buddy. I’d like to suggest having your bits chromed; chrome is inexpensive compared to replacing bits constantly. Chrome is harder than metal. Good luck
Just started watching your videos in the past few days and I really enjoy them , very informative I’ll will be starting a job as a drillers helper here in Ohio in a couple weeks, these videos have been a great help to get ready, I worked with them for a day to try it out and everything is pretty much exactly the same I’ve worked for myself building pole barns for 31 years so this will be an adjustment for sure but still a lot of similarities, and fortunately they are great bunch of guys like yourself Thanks for the videos
Always carry safety pins in the glove box or tool box. Iv torn pants rain coats jackets and put them back together. You can also find them in most first aid kit in the triangle bandage sling?
Damn i love it...4 layers of clothes on sayin it's freezing outside @ 37deg!! Hell that's just what we call a cool day up here in my area....just jeans & hoodie weather! i gotta cut ya some slack though you are in southern VA! Love the videos brother please stay safe and keep em' coming. d
@H2o Mechanic - Love watching your videos. I've watched the majority of your content. What do you do when you can't keep an open hole to set casing? Seems like you are able to set casing in all your videos even in sandy material like this.
I run a t3 rig daily, interesting to see the differences in your shram. I'm located about 3 hours away, would you be open to letting me come work a day with you? I'm going to be taking over the business much like you have planned with your dads. Going for my nc well license in march after setting up for state inspection. Any advice? Would love to come chat in person and find some water with you.
What are you tapping into when you find water?, like an open underground cavern full of water?, or an underground river? It's hard to visualize how the water is stored in the ground and is able to be pumped out.
I'm on a mountain in NH too, he has no idea what it's like to open the door and have the doorknob imprint in the snow a few times every winter, lol. When it hits 40 deg in the spring, we're ready to go swimming in NH, lol.
can you ball-park guess how many feet "about" you can get out of a head? I realize the ground your cutting makes all the difference but maybe you have a "Rule of thumb" kinda thing ???
Merry MAGA Christmas buddy. I highly recommend that you get yourself an IR thermal imaging camera. You can spend around $500 on a Klein unit that's self-contained, get the one with the larger screen. You can also just get one of the little ones that plugs into your phone for $250. They will all allow you to find your frozen spots and you can use them for all sorts of other troubleshooting too. A bad engine cylinder will run colder than the rest, drafts or a lack of insulation in the walls, or measure the wife's hot ass, lmao. Seriously though, get one and you'll never regret it. It's a HUGE time saver.

Love the videos! This is how you know you’re down south… 37 degrees and 4 layers of clothes.😂👍
T-shirt and shorts weather here in BC Canada. 😂
👍
This morning in southwest Maine it was 6 degrees f.
The videos are getting pretty short, I enjoyed the longer videos a lot more then these shorts.

Can the drill bits be sharpened or just replaced

37 degrees, that is a heat wave for us up here in the Northern part of Vermont. Day time highs are in the 20's
That's even normal winter temperatures in the upper Midwest but as somebody at works outside 37 is cold
your explanation at 2:50 could use a diagram side view of two wells n ear each other and what cross contamination would look like.

Surprised you drill at all in the winter, although 37F isn't really any sort of winter. Good luck

Broken zipper? It's always been a tossup between duct tape and black electrical tape...

Google aquifer
Rock in these areas can hold water. Aquifers are pretty neat things! en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquifer
What is an average cost for a job like this?
awwww 47 deg? Just moved from Hampton Roads to NH. You had 47F I had 9F. Sorry don't feel sorry.

What is the point of this comment
It was 0° Monday morning here in Litchfield New Hampshire. I would love 37°, that's T-shirt weather around here, lol
