- The Ukrainian Eurovision presenter, Timur Miroshnychenko, celebrates his country's entrant, Kalush Orchestra, winning the contest.

The public awarded Ukraine 492 points, jumping them from eighth place to first. Russian rocket attacks meant Miroshnychenko had to broadcast from a bomb shelter. In response to the victory, Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said 'we will do our best' to one day host Eurovision in the port city of Mariupol

Me alegro por Ucrania. Va a ser difícil organizarlo alli, en Mariupol. Pero si lo consiguen , por supuesto, Televisión Española colaborará con medios técnicos con la Televisión pública ucraniana. Así nos lo dijeron en la fiesta posterior que emitió la 1 de nuestra televisión para celebrar el tercer puesto de Chanel. Ánimo Ucrania!! Los 12 puntos del televoto español, también fueron para Orquesta Kallush.

It definitively won't. Even if, worst case scenario, Russia takes over Ukraine, Russia has a 3 year ban from being part of ESC at all.
So they'll likely give hosting duties to runner-up United Kingdom if that happens.
