    Thank you. When I followed another How-To, I thought the PC/MAC/Linux options were to install them on those systems. I didn't know the dialogue would ask to load to an SD card. You saved me after an hour of frustration.

    Thanx for the demo. PLEASE trash the background music! Its way to loud and distracting. Your voice is the important bit here!

    Installed, now what? It took me 5 clicks to watch something. Is this the way it is suppose to work? I am computer stupid. Great video, did it step by step and it works.

    i run the installer (using windows) for pi2, but it gets stuck on the rainbow splash screen. There is no activity anywhere, other than the red light on the other end of the pi2. Any thoughts?

      +Walter Gunter Make sure you format the SD card before you use the OSMC installer on it (if, for example, you're overwriting an old NOOBS card.) I don't believe the installer does that. You can use the steps here re: formatting the SD card: www.raspberrypi.org/help/noobs-setup/
      I too ran into the rainbow screen. I redid the OSMC install (same settings) but formatted the SD card first, and then it went past the rainbow screen.

    Good Video, But you need to record and explain how to install onto the Raspberry Pi because some people still wont understand how to install.

    Could you do a demo of the software on the Raspberry Pi?

    The background music while talking is not a good idea.

    The title to this video should be "How to DOWNLOAD OSMC to your computer" not how to install it on your Raspberry.

    OSMC is completely unusable :( you can't navigate with mouse. impossible.

    • @dudematt434
      @dudematt434 9 років тому

      Yeah, navigate and type with a keyboard for now, the mouse is ok though. It's usable but I rarely use it. Then again, it's in its alpha stages. There are loads of improvements to come in later releases, i'm sure.

    What it's interest on this video? It's simple manual on OSMC... not explain anything, not show RaspberryPi 2 with OSMC running, ....

      you have to put the installer on a sd/usb stick using a computer e.g a mac then put it in your pi

  • @EricLacomblez
    @EricLacomblez 9 років тому

    Well... this is the very first step of the process . What's inerresting is the next part. Going onto the Pi and setting OSMC up.
    Thak you.
    By the way, could you balance your audio mix ? The music is covering your low voice and this is pretty annoying. ;-)
