This saved me a ton of time. I had the same thing happen to me and fortunately I found your video and had my Pi 5 back up and running in a half an hour. I originally thought I cratered it, when all I had done was change the boot order. I'm glad I found your channel. Thanx!!
This fixed my issue. I had a red LED and 1 long flash and 2 short flashes on the green LED. Followed your instructions and now it boots as expected!!! Thank you! This was a brand new 8GB unit out of a sealed raspberry pi box.
Well I encounter a kind of similar issue with my new RP5. When I switch on my RP, I have the boot menu asking for an OS installation. I installed the standard version of raspbian for my RP5 then when I take my sd card from the pc then I branch my USB with the sd card into the RP5 I got a blackscreen in a few seconds then nothing happens : (
Ok Jan 11th... bought a new Pi 5 and i cant get it to boot found this video i have one question.... after you load your boot fix and run it through the green screen and pull the card out it has boot screen and i now supposed to reload that Pi OS on that card and put it back in and im supposed to have a OS? Derp Mode! Thanks for video..... hope im just doing something easy and stupid cause ive been at this awhile today
Great video, im wondering if anyone has ran into my problem, im down 2 RPi5s both same issue. During boot process when it gets to fs_open: ‘armstub8-2712.bin’ It crashes the display says no input and it loops this, no discernible pattern to the led flicker
You guys still booting from a microSD card?? How old fashioned is that?! I've been booting from a USB thumb drive, since about 1820! And having no problems. Booting from an SSD is even faster! ---get with the program. Ditch the damned SD cards!

I have 1 issue
When i tried to boot raspberry pi 5 " Failed to open device 'sd card' " This line showing.
@@aimusic164 yeah I’m not familiar with that
I got a brand new one and it just doesn't turn on, could this be an issue with the boot order?
It could be
@@kiodiekin I reformatted the sd card and reloaded the OS once again. It works this time now.

Would this solution erase the previous configuration? I have vpn wireguard clients that I wouldn’t want to reconfigure
@@csanal6 I’m not exactly sure. If your config is in the bios then maybe but I highly doubt that
