Tbh Six Flags gave me my fear of roller coasters LOL This one is the first "grown up" coaster I have been able to have fun on. The ones in Disneyland are okay.
What I love most about this ride is that Disney manages to change a ride like this that would have boring supports to something with lots of theming and still be a simple rollercoaster, and a good one too. At a Six Flags park it would just be there with boring supports and no theming at all, but at Disney it looks like a wooden coaster from the hay day of Amusement parks.
Since I found out that Neil Patrick is the one who says the intro of the ride, I always find myself screamin', "I'll do whatever you say Neil Patrick Harris!!!" when he says, "Ready?"
Why does this ride close during world of colour. There is really no point. There are no fireworks, the water jets are only on the lake and the fire is also only on the lake. It is only just darker, but that is no reason to close it. Also imagine how cool it would be being on the rollercoaster and seein all the colours and water jets.

Also the cars are not brightly lit or colored so they would be pretty hard to see anyway, and also probably would not get your attention from the show. I still see no reason they need to close this ride while the show is happening.
My fellow Disney California Screamers.... I have learned that they are remodeling it to an Incredicoaster. It will fit to the Incredibles theme. I am saddened by this news, and I will miss this wonderful rides theme...
Wow that thing was FLYING through it's layout. I bet that was a crazy ride. And this is the only time I seen the friction brakes where only used at the end. Bet you hit that brakes hard. Love it when coasters do that. I really love this coaster and can't wait to ride it!

Also have you been on Silver Bullet at Knotts? Even tho it has multiple loops/upside down parts it's one of the best coasters I've been on (Just sit in the front. Some people get a little disoriented if they sit anywhere but the very front on Silver Bullet, but it really depends on the person)
I went the 7th i was about to ride it with my fast pass and it broke down i think i am cursed this wasn't the first time this has happened to me the ride just doesn't like me. So the cast member of California Screamin gave me a fast pass for any attraction and we used it on Tower Of Terror instead.

The loop isn't that bad at all. You have enough speed going into it and it passes pretty quickly so you really don't feel it. I think once you try it you'll do o.k.
I hate roller coasters and honestly this was my first real rollercoaster ever. I hate drops but never really thought about the loop till i was on the ride. I think the loop last longer in the videos rather then real life. Feels like a blink of the eye when your on the coaster
I'm my opinion , you can't even feel if you're upside down because the ride is going so fast , trust me I was scared of loops too , but I went on a ride with loops and now it's like my favorite ride

Heck im 29 and looked like the biggest whimp getting on this the first time. Even some little girl like 5 years old was laughing at me. The whole ride i was screaming i hate roller coasters. As soon as it ended i was like... well that wasnt so bad. This is now my favorite ride in the park
I really love launch coasters like Rock n Roller Coaster at Disney World, because the don't usually have large drops ( or you are going too fast to feel them). This ride is not going fast when it drops ,though, and it looks pretty high. I HATE DROPS!!!!! If I ever go to Disneyland, should I go on this?
bella anai I’ve been on this twice, once on the red train and once on the orange train, the launch definitely pushes you back but it’s fun going fast, and the drops make you feel like your flying and it’s incredible!
I hate this ride even animal kingdom has a broking track that's why hate animal kingdom so much fast rides way to fast for me wach the titen if you did not get to ride the titien I screamed I want to get off the ride...

To those of you who are scared: drops are fine, and the loop is so short that it's not as significant as imagined. Great ride, great front seat POV!

+redique Sorry for a late reply, but I think they do it to get more people to watch the show.
+redique the water jets get the blast off area covered in waster, if they opened it during world of color people would get soaking wet.
The reason is they need alot of power to operate the show that is why the close the rides in the park

ghost rider is my own REAL coaster so dgfebfcy , and i went on at night
If you can handle Ghostrider just fine, then you will DEFINITELY be fine on this one. It's way smoother than Ghostrider

I was very scared when I was in line for it on my first time yesterday and it was very fun I loved it the loop was over before I new it

Rock N Roller Coaster only goes faster than California Screamin' by less than 2 mph. So, you should definitely go on! I promise you won't regret it :)
