“They’re not sharing what they’ve received and people like me are starving to death”. This hit me so hard! We need to share what we’ve received in the Catholic faith and not keep it for ourselves. Thank you for this beautiful testimony, it is one of my favourites and I wanted to hear so much more.
So eloquently spoken, it is surely the Holy Spirit speaking through you Father Sean.

I LOVE Steubenville! Went for a retreat there many years ago… what an experience! Fr. Sean Loomis, you are incredible! My husband and 2 sons lived in Downingtown. Our second son was born in West Chester. In 1981 the diocese of Philadelphia was ultra conservative. No Saturday masses to fulfill your Sunday obligation yet. I started a youth singing group and was told, after the first mass, that I sang the Our Father and that was “MY SONG” said the pastor and “if you ever sing at his church again, I will have you arrested!” So… we went to another parish… I know that priest died 2 years later. God bless his soul. My faith NEVER wavered! You can’t scare my Jesus out of me or my Catholic faith!

I love this! I wonder how Father Sean would think a young Catholic, like his friend, would know to evangelize to him when he was so busy pursing secular life. Maybe by just inviting him to Mass? How can a young high school boy say “hey I know you look happy but I want to share some real happiness with you?”

Had a cousin who was deaf. He showed a difficulty in understanding abstract concepts because of the restrictions of his language skills. He thought like he signed. Great guy, and he even indicated he might become Catholic after a monseigneur visited him in hospital one time ... but no follow up... no conversion. He's gone now. With the sign language skills ... I have two Indian daughter in laws. One is full blood Cherokee, the other is Peruvian. My interest in the Indian sign language skills resulted in getting materials for training in large plasticized sheets. I won't use them now ... but if anyone is interested ... just let me know. I'd hate to see them go to waste.
