Apart from the usual audio tests. Is it also usable to watch tv shows or movies. So is Netflix working in HD - Widevine L1 supported?
If you install Google Services can you use Google Wallet for payment. Does it even come with NFC?
How are the cameras? Can it record 4k 30fps or even 60fps videos? Is it stabilized video? Can you use external mics with the headphone jack for recording videos? How is the mic quality?
Finally what do you think about the battery life and pricing of this one?

Subscribed and signed up for notifications. Do you mind giving a quick first impression on sound quality compared to your daps? Wondering if I should order before they inevitably sell out. Mainly looking to buy it as a dap, with the option to use as a cellphone if I ever need it.

How does it handle messages/notifications? I've experienced chinese ROM phones which completely kill Whatsapp and Telegram in the background and not push any notifications to the user.

Hello! Do you have any idea if the bank apps and Google Maps work correctly? I work with these applications every day and I understand that they do not work. do you know anything about that?
Yes, they do. As demonstrated in the video Part I on the channel, Google Maps can load the maps you want, but to determine your location, you need to install Google Mobile Services (GMS) such as MicroG.

Thanks for showing off the unboxing. I was wondering, how is the OLED screen? Does it have nice ‘immersive’ colors? Does it work well in sunlight?
Oh yeah,on the product page didn't say it has HDR10+ and Dolby Vision,so at least the screen is good 120hz Oled but not that great.

I don't know where you live but if it's in the U.S. can you test WiFi and call quality? I'm surprised Moondrop didn't include a case and screen protector.
Yes, okay, I'll do that. The device comes with a pre-applied screen protector, but it does not include a case.
can you use this phone as a separate usb dap if you connect it to pc?

It might be very early for this, but I wonder if you can get custom ROMs for it. I love the idea of this phone, but it being from Chinese manufacturers got me a bit hesitant. Having the ability to install a custom ROM would be sweet!
I will not install a custom ROM, but I will try to see if this is something that could be done in the future.
You could 100% install a custom ROM. The question is which one would you install?

@@MrFlayFox You can easily unlock the bootloader, install TWRP or OrangeFox or LineageOS recovery, and have some fun, my friend. Check out my latest video, Part I of the review. At the end of the video, I explain how to access recovery, bootloader menu, and unlock the bootloader so you can do it too.
The nfc we need more information about this is it the same in any Device or Special NFC

I agree, fortunately there is a Google Play store with basic Google Play Services.

It includes a factory-applied screen protector but no case. Hopefully, they will release a case in the future.
There's a file on the phone that you can use to 3D print a case
Has it moondrop own music player? Pl test the hd quality of the player of music.
It comes with Hiby music player and another basic app called "Music".

can install and connet to Facebook, whatsapp, youtube......those apps blocked by PRC ??
Google Play and Play services come pre-installed. I have successfully installed, and used a variety of apps including Facebook, Whatsapp, UA-cam, Netflix, Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Instagram, X, Threads, Telegram, and TikTok. All these apps are functioning properly. The phone is international, so there are no blocked features.
Netflix doesn't support HD because of Widevine but works. I couldn't get Google Wallet to work (it needs a manual GMS install that will add this function) The rest of the apps work fine.

Thanks for subscribing and liking the video! The Moondrop HiFi smartphone does have the Google Play Store, but it might not include all the usual Google apps. To get them, you'll need to manually install Google Mobile Services (GMS), which I'm currently looking into. I'll update you soon!

For me i am not a mobile gamer. I only need fb / tidal / yt and yt music/ Google home /tricount/ revolut. They are ok pls ?

Basic Google services are included but not everything. If you want full functionality, you have to manually install GMS.

I'm not certain, but I don't think there's an IP rating due to the 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs. I recommend you double-check, though.
