    My own experience in manufacturing is this: 2020 and a decade before we worked 10 hours a day, 5 days a week with the odd Saturday. Since 2021 we have consistently had less work, lower volume of orders and higher costs. Follow this trend to current day, early august has traditionally been part of the busiest times of our year. This year, we are working 3 days a week after laying off half of the plant. My shift went from 22 employees to 10.
    My own opinion is that we have BEEN in a recession all this year (2024) as my work never got busy.
    Let’s hope we get some competent leadership soon before more layoffs occur.

      I, along with many coworkers, will be out of work in less than 2 weeks. Most of the remaining employees will be out of work in a few months.
      "Competent leadership" would be someone who restores the free market, reduces regulations, reduces taxes, eliminates the deficit... Central economic planning, debt, fiat currency are the reasons for our bubble economy and inflation.

    The recession is here, where do investors look at for wealth gains now? mortgage rates still on the rise with higher imports and lower exports, yet the Fed is to lessen cost. Something will eventually break if they keep raising interests and quantitative tightening.

    Timing an interest rate cut to facilitate a "soft landing" is like market timing fund/stock purchases & sales...not as easy as most think. Thanks for the update. As always, I like your analysis. I would bet that, even if the Fed is in a rate cutting mindset, and they're trying to make up for not cutting sooner, they will do it in two consecutive reductions of 25 bpts vs one 50 bpt decrease, so as to not look like they missed the timing.

    "Recession is here?" Clickbait! Definition of recession: "A recession is a significant, widespread, and prolonged downturn in economic activity. A common rule of thumb is that *two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth* indicate a recession. However, more complex formulas are also used to determine recessions." Where are those 2 quarters? And FEDs goal is to bring down inflation! Higher unemployment rates (lower labor cost) help to achieve this goal.

    • @mjs28s
      @mjs28s 3 місяці тому +2

      Where are those 2 quarters?
      Well, you don't know that you are in one or out of it until it is long started or long over. You see, two quarters is six months. You could have a six month recession and you wouldn't know it for sure until weeks after it is over (when all the financial data is analyzed, verified, and then reported). Same with being out of a recession. You could be out of one for a good amount of time before you meet the definition of one as well as the time it takes to study and then report on all the data.
      They could quite literally report that we are in a recession when it is actually already over and we are out of one.
      Lastly - do you understand how streaming and media like UA-cam work? Headlines are what gets clicks.

    • @ViktoriyaMedia
      @ViktoriyaMedia  3 місяці тому

      I explained in my 3 ETF video, but heres a quick gist: TLTW uses covered calls on TLT, but the problem I find is that it only sells 2% OTM calls on TLT, so it leaves VERY little room for appreciation. So if TLT rallies, you'll capture a very small fraction of it, but if it suddenly reverses because of volatility (which is likely to happen imo) it'll capture all of it. Yes it will cushion the drop with the income it provides, but I don't think it's an ideal way to capitalize on rate cuts. I'd prefer to sell calls on TLT myself. Hope that helps!

    If you like JEPI, how come you don't talk about TLTW

    • @ViktoriyaMedia
      @ViktoriyaMedia  3 місяці тому +1

      TLTW uses covered calls on TLT, but the problem I find is that it only sells 2% OTM calls on TLT, so it leaves VERY little room for appreciation. JEPI is an equity hedge, so it's different, plus it uses 5-15% OTM calls which is much better imo. Hope that helps!

      I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $21k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
