That guy aint an audio engineer but an electronic engineer.When mixing consoles breakdown or when companies that build consoles for audio engineering purposes need engineers to design program their machines,these guys are their dudes for the job.The dude mixed up the two professions.
I’ve almost mastered the guitar over years of just learning by ear. Now i am on piano, beats, and audio production. Of course not perfect but i am confident in my music now..the rappers that i work with keep coming back and as long as they are giving me work i am gaining experience. After so long i will assume I’ve had my 20,000 hours of experience..then could consider myself a professional
You definitely don't need a degree. You need practice. One of my best friends graduated from full sail and I'm a faaaaaarrrr better engineer, producer, beatmaker etc etc.
