Δάσος Κουρί Θεσσαλονίκη από ψηλά - Kouri Forest Thessaloniki from above - Drone 4K Video 2024

☆ Σε λόφο στο δάσος Κουρί, βρίσκεται το παραδοσιακό παρεκκλήσι του Προφήτη Ηλία, κτισμένο το 1919. Το Ασβεστοχώρι είναι κωμόπολη της Περιφερειακής ενότητας Θεσσαλονίκης και υπάγεται στον Δήμο Πυλαίας Χορτιάτη. Έχει μόνιμο πληθυσμό 10.879 κατοίκους. Το Ασβεστοχώρι βρίσκεται στους πρόποδες του Χορτιάτη, 12 χιλιόμετρα ανατολικά της Θεσσαλονίκης.Το Ασβεστοχώρι είναι από τους παλιότερους οικισμούς στη σκιά της Θεσσαλονίκης. Χτίστηκε γύρω στο 1600 και ονομάσθηκε Νεοχώρι. Αυτό μαρτυρούν και αρκετά σπίτια που έχουν το παραδοσιακό μακεδονικό στυλ στον πυρήνα του χωριού.
Το δάσος Κουρί βρίσκεται βορειοανατολικά του Ασβεστοχωρίου και απέχει 1,5 χιλιόμετρο από την πλατεία του χωριού. «Κουρί» στα τούρκικα σημαίνει το μέρος με τα πολλά δέντρα, το άλσος.
Στην ψηλότερη κορυφή του βουνού δεσπόζει το παρεκκλήσι του Προφήτη Ηλία, απ’όπου μπορεί κανείς να θαυμάσει την υπέροχη θέα του χωριού,
στον ανοιχτό ορίζοντα που φτάνει ως τις κορυφές του Ολύμπου, πάνω από το Θερμαϊκό κόλπο. Από εδώ το ηλιοβασίλεμα είναι μαγευτικό . Το δάσος Κουρί είναι ιδανικό για πεζοπορία, πικ-νικ, ποδηλασία, τζόκινγκ. ☆
☆ On a hill in the forest of Kouri, is the traditional chapel of Prophet Elias, built in 1919. Asvestochori is a small town of the Regional Unit of Thessaloniki and belongs to the Municipality of Pylaia Hortiatis. It has a permanent population of 10.879 inhabitants. Asvestochori is located at the foothills of Hortiatis, 12 km east of Thessaloniki.Asvestochori is one of the oldest settlements in the shadow of Thessaloniki. It was built around 1600 and was called Neochori. This is evidenced by several houses in the traditional Macedonian style in the core of the village.
Kouri forest is located northeast of Asvestochori and is 1.5 km from the village square. "Kouri" in Turkish means the place with many trees, the grove.
The chapel of Prophet Elias dominates the highest peak of the mountain, from where one can admire the wonderful view of the village,
the open horizon that reaches the peaks of Mount Olympus, above the Thermaikos Gulf. From here the sunset is magnificent. Kouri forest is ideal for hiking, picnicking, cycling, jogging. ☆
