Just came back from Rogue City. Surprisingly, an amazing game. Total Fan Service.
I played the NES version a lot when I was a kid. I never liked how RoboCop had punching as his default weapon. Ironically, every other RoboCop game I _didn't_ play had him with a gun the whole time lol. Until RoboCop Vs Terminator-Gen, that game blew my mind. Man, how time flies.
It's funny to see how it evolves in the opposite direction chronologically from arcade to consoles.
That 1988 'arcade' one was available on the Amiga and Atari ST with the same quality. Such a difference from consoles! 😅
I had it on amiga. Wasn't a bad game. It had some other types of weapons, enemies, bosses and quick time events besides the basic punching and pistol shooting in the clip. I'd put in the top 3 robocop games easily.
@@Beer_Wolf I got it on the AMIGA and even if it was good was far away from the ARCADE

Robocop 2 The Arcade Game and Robocop vs Terminator on the Megadrive were not only my two favourite Robocop games but also among my favourite video games ever made!
It's just amazing. Thirty year have passed since 1993 but no one’s ever been able to create anything as cool as Robocop vs Terminator
RoboCop: Rogue City Looks promising
It does, especially if they find the right balance between a fun experience and a having a fan service without getting to cynical levles. Terminator Resistance does it brilliantly, so I hope the lessons learned there carry over.

@@TheCoppoy we should have 1st and 3rd person view to experience this awesome model and epic targeting system aswell
if there is no 3rd person view (optional) so we can enjoy Robocop look then it's not promising at all
I finished the new Robo game on Hard and it was a blast from the past! They made a damn good job!
Robocop Vs Terminator (SEGA ver. not those family friendly SNES ver.) is hand down the best Robocop game ever. The gore, the music, the level, the enemies (literally Arnold Terminator) and finally, in the end we can face to face (pun intended) to The Skynet. Man... what a ride!

or imagine playing mortal kombat without fatalities (or bone cracking moves set). or playing cod mw/sniper elite but with nerf gun, or play doom without "the gore ", main weapon fly swatter 😁
also if you don't like the genre, you definitely can skip it 😊
I re-played Robocop 3 on the Genesis non-stop. It's very short. Good times!
Rouge City looks amazing!
Yeah graphics nice, gameplay looks a bit tedious but it's about a 20-30 hour campaign so you get moneys worth. When compare it to original on the arcade it's a good benchmark to see how far it's come. The arcade was great back in the day and still one of my favourite games to run through trying a single credit.
That cancelled Robocop on PS1 intrigues me. I want to know more about it! I knew that Robocop vs the Terminator got an unreleased NES game but had no idea one was in development for the PS1. I’m shocked you even included it because it looked like it was in super early development. You were walking through boxes for crying out loud lmao!
The graphics on the cancelled PS1 look surprisingly appealing, and not too outdated.

I remember playing Robocop game in the early nineties on Nintendo. It is not included in your film. I remember that you could collect the letters: alpha, beta or gamma. Three collected letters gave you certain weapon. I think there were 5 levels to choose from and after gping through them you went to the final level. Do you remember such a game?

The first one is intriguing, and ahhhhh, that iconic music playing ! The second game, nes, I had that one, it was fun but so hard! I'm not a fan of the new because most games were hard, arcady "keep going until you die and go for high score" style games rather than games designed to play through and complete, but for a game of the time, I loved it, the only other game I truly liked for the nes was mario 3. That FPS RoboCop game for PS2 looked good, and a later 2d one with reflections in the windows, looked good too.

I think that the NES was the first Robocop game i played, i saw the ones on Atari around the same time, but never got to play them.
Hopefully Rogue city has ED 209 and Robocaine to battle that will be the most awesome boss fights in history of gaming.

Man, I remember Playing RoboCop 2 on the NES at a friend's house. And when I got a game over screen. You see the badly damaged RoboCop, and that image was rather disturbing for my little kid brain.

New Robocop game lacks bunch of sounds - backround noise of hydraulics, motors, servos, when player changes lookview, switching weapons, moves, etc. Thats includes Robocop and his robot enemies, like ED-209 or CAIN. Just footsteps are not enough.
