Nice video, well explained ! Maybe an example of a quantum dot synthesis would have been interesting to see (as an example) ? Also, when will we see retrosynthesis videos ? Maybe I didn't see them when looking arround 👀
Thanks! I always appreciate the kind words. Sadly, it’s only transparent with the darker backgrounds. There are legibility concerns also with lighter backgrounds
There are lots of ways to make pixels actually! Many just think quantum dots might allow for the best, most vibrant, and efficient screens one day! Thanks for checking out the video!
I may regret this later after i sleep OK, soo the size of quantum dots change their bandgap, but likkkee are there other things that affect it too? Like, could other factors change how they work in stuff like solar panels or medical imaging? *shoots my shot wink wink*
Excellent question! Yes, the type of material in the quantum dot will also have an effect. Like CdSe vs CsPbBr3 quantum dots would be one way to vary those properties as well. Hope that helps and hope there’s no regrets! 😉😉

Thanks for the idea! I actually have a couple that I’ll send over!
Your format is so good and welldone, but have you tried using a white background?

Whatever the display type, the picture quality of phones today are amazing.
Agreed! Imagine what they’ll be like just a few years into the future!
Also CQD could be a lot cheaper I think
Great call on that!
I thought pixels are made from wire frame. Thanks
