So excited to hear you recommend Grace Draven! Radiance and Phoenix Unbound are some of my favorite fantasy romances. She was actually diagnosed with cancer in 2023 and we're all hoping the best for her recovery ♥
I randomly read Grace Draven’s Radiance a few years ago and loved it. I am not a big romance reader and I hate the miscommunication trope, so it was a delight to find something that is the opposite - love interests talking to each other and working as a team :) There is not much drama, but the slow burn is so enjoyable and the fantasy element is decent, too.
Ooh I'm glad to hear you like Grace Draven! I've been recommended a couple of her books in one of my fantasy book Facebook groups but I haven't heard very much about her on BookTube. I LOVE the cover for Dragon Unleashed 😍
Thanks for recommending the Jasad Heir in one of your previous videos, I got it from my library and really enjoyed it. Can’t wait for the sequel! Also I am glad you are reading Grace Draven, I discovered her myself recently and loved “Radiance” so very much.
What a great reading month!! Some books I’ve read recently: Weyward, A River Enchanted, and I’m currently working through Crooked Kingdom and The Way of Kings! 😊
Thanks for the reviews. I will def. read Yumi. I just read the short story prequel to the Murderbot series, Compulsory. I have book one for this month. What I've read in April: The prequel shorts and book 1 of the Newsflesh series by Mira Grant (aka Seanan McGuire), the second Heartstopper vol.; the second Spy x Family manga, and Nurk, a children's book by Ursula Vernon. I've started book 2 of Newsflesh, Deadline, and the Digger Omnibus, and All Systems Red.
I'm halfway of yumi and the nightmare painter myself! It's my first sanderson book and it's making me wanting to check other of his books! Also, another thing I love are the illustrations by aliya chen ❤ I keep wanting to keep on reading just to find the next illustration hahaha
Thank you so much again for recommending the Jasad Heir, I absolutely adored it! Definitely in my fave list of this month ❤ BTW, if the romance is what made it so irresistible to you, try reading Powerless. I’ve read this two one after another and I think it’s quite interesting to compare the two to each other 😊
I enjoyed Commonwealth, but not Bel Canto. Although I did listen to the opera song mentioned during one of the intense scenes and reading along with the opera song was an unforgettable experience 🤯
i just finished the will of the many and pls i cannot wait that long for the sequel 😭😭😭 random whodunit rec which i devoured in a day: everyone on this train is a suspect
I read Gideon the Ninth and am now reading Harrow the Ninth. Loved Gideon, but have really fallen in love with Harrow (much to my surprise). Glad to know, feeling confused is normal for this book! I think that going to read The Jasad Heir next.
I JUST finished Harrow the Ninth and it was AMAZING so I’m incredibly excited to pick up Nona the Ninth. Also I read the audiobook and learned that Lyctor is pronounced LICK-tor which I absolutely would not have figured out if I read the physical book alone lol. The narrator for it is SO good if you feel like you need to do another reread.
I’m wondering if you’ve ever seen the anime movie, Your Name. Brandon was heavily inspired by it for Yumi and the Nightmare Painter. It makes sense because that movie was magical and has the freaky Friday elements you mentioned. It’s so funny. I hope u see it if u haven’t!
I read 7 books in March: Warm Hands of Ghosts, Living on the Streerts in Japan, The Art of Invisibility, Lassiter, Save Me, A Taste of Gold & Iron, and Beyond Diversity: Queer Politics, Activism, and Representation in Contemporary Japan.
"takes him with her to his homeland" is a pretty forgiving way to describe the kidnapping that occurs in phoenix unbound lol 😅 I do love grace draven though
Okay, be honest. Do I need to read other Brandon Sanderson books to read Yumi? It sounds so good, but I didn't love Mistborn. Unless there is a better way to start reading Brandon Sanderson? Any advice is appreciated!!
Here's what I read You again by kate goldbeck The girl in the eagle's talons by karin Smirnoff book 7 in the millennium series Elektra by Jennifer saint The glass castle by Jeannette walls memoir The sporty one by melanie c memoir Check and mate by ali hazlewood Love theoretically by ali hazlewood Chain gang all stars by nana Kwame adjei brenyah Happily ever after by Lynn painter Some desperate glory by Emily tesh
THE FACE, THE HAIR, THE DRESS, THE DEWY SKIN, THE EYES, GIRL YOU ARE GORGEOUS
Okay between this dress and your sweaters you gotta start putting outfit details in your descriptions too!! 😂
I'm still not used to the red hair and it delights me every time I see you, so gorgeous!
your red hair + this dress is a killer combo

Ive never read Brandon Sanderson. You should do a video going over where to start and your favorites.
yess 100%
One thing: making some art 🖼️ and watching your video actually, always a little ray of sunshine during my morning sport routine 😊☀️☀️☀️

I want to read that one soon!
I just read Nona too. I liked it so much more than I expected to given Nona was a brand new character. So good! So much heart!

My coworkers recently recommended the murderbot diaries dramatized audio books on Hoopla. I’m now convinced to give the series a try!

Imagine my surprise when my small county library had Bel Canto on the shelf! I read Commonwealth and liked it so maybe I should try Bel Canto.
! so cool!
I enjoyed Commonwealth, but not Bel Canto. Although I did listen to the opera song mentioned during one of the intense scenes and reading along with the opera song was an unforgettable experience 🤯
Best wishes with what you choose to read. I'm currently reading the Count of Monte Cristo. I might be some time!

Grace Draven writes adult characters and I'm here for it!
Grace Draven’s books are amazing! Checkout Radiance if you want a really good romance/fantasy with political intrigue.

LOVE YOUR NAME! I was honestly thinking that while reading so it's so nice to hear he was inspired by that!

I want to read that soon! Are you liking it?
Please start adding where your clothes are from, they are always incredibly cute!
I fell in love with Nona the moment we were introduced to a character named "Hot Sauce" 10/10

Have you read Radiance by Grace Draven? I think that is my favorite of her books.
Okay, be honest. Do I need to read other Brandon Sanderson books to read Yumi? It sounds so good, but I didn't love Mistborn. Unless there is a better way to start reading Brandon Sanderson? Any advice is appreciated!!
I honestly do not think so! The story is completely contained (outside of a few Easter eggs)

Can you do a trailer reaction to Joker 2? It might be something new to your audience.
What is the best order to read each of the Grace Draven series since they share the same world?
the Phoenix Unbound is the first book!
Im starting to like murder bot🤔
I don't think, I need to say this, but you are looking gorgeous.
