    Had to rewatch it like 20 times to understand. They don’t instinctively instantly counterstrafe as soon as they shoot a burst or as soon as they tap, they go full stop and take that extra microsecond to make sure the shots gonna hit, if it doesn’t THEN they strafe focusing more on raw mouse aim and THEN movement. When they do strafe, the strafes are very quick and not far as well. Basically as other people have said they have no “wasted movement” and it gives it that clean indescribable look because the movement and aim are so linked and intricate. It’s kind of hard to describe and I know I’m definitely not describing it properly but oh well

      actually there are 2 types of calm aim the one that you mentioned and the second one where the player adjust the crosshair while strafing and when it connect with the enemie head he stop and shoot and when he kill him he take a milisecond to localise the other player and then repeat the same thing by strafing first(english is not my first language (= )

While on the other hand tenz probably has a more chaos driven style where he finds opening and kills . Thats why all duelist whatever the level mostly shine when feikd has chaos the more unpredictability in round the more duelists shine . While stop and shoot is a rythmic gameplay

The thing that makes him such an insane and unique player is the amount of wasted movement he has, it’s almost zero. Which is absolutely insane to think about, but all these players have almost zero wasted movement or momentum. Which makes them look like a turret at times but they hit every shot, the best kind of aiming style in valorant imo.

    playing deathmatch like this is awesome, its a lot easier. Movement sometimes destroy you aim, like when you do kovaak, you are standing still, if you start to move, you will get less score, because you will need to microadjust everytime you move, or adjust with your movement, instead of just focus in the kill.
    And when you full stop, people sometimes overaim you and need to go back the crosshair to the enemy, this kind bugs many people.

    Agree with the top comment, if you notice in range, when you don't move at all it becomes much easier to hit the targets. (Because we are designed this way, since we suck at multitasking, which is a lot harder). It's the same concept here.. Instead of gen-z neon sprinting, sliding and shooting, its the calculated movement and focus on AIM that makes you a lot better than the rest.

  • @duskshadow25
    @duskshadow25 Рік тому +14

    I think coming from playing many years of Counter-Strike, it's just second nature that you come to completely stop and aim for head and shoot. Even if you move the slightest while shooting, your bullets will not land 99% of the time in CS, and it's very punishing. Then once you're comfortable with that method, you can mix in with strafe and a bit movement with coming to another complete stop, aim and then shoot for head again. The only time you should be spraying is if the enemy is very close to you; otherwise, it's always better to aim for head and just shoot 1-2 bullets at a time and readjust your aim and do the same again, because it's more efficient to land 2 headshots than 5-10 body or leg shots. Not only does this method conserve your ammo, but it's more about getting your mind to calming down while taking the time to aim and shoot, instead of just shooting and relying on RNG bullets landing headshots.
    Shroud also mentioned in one of his streams the reason why he uses bigger crosshair is because he doesn't need to focus as hard with his eyes and kind of just pinpoint a general area where enemy's heads are at and shoot at that direction to get a headshot; whereas if you were to use a small dot as your crosshair, sometime you can't even see where your crosshair is and you lose more time trying to focus rather than aiming and shooting.

      Counter strike at a higher level has more microstrafing than val. 90% of great aim csgo pros fight the way tenz fights because movement is faster in csgo so microstrafing gives you more of an advantage compared to val.

    • @kennyli5838
      @kennyli5838 10 місяців тому +1

      i think the idea tenz is implying is that CSGO movement habits doesn't flavor in Val, csgo moves faster and you HAVE TO hit a counter movement key to counterstrafe while moving at full speed. However, in Val, the movement is slower, so when you let go of the key, it will instantly come to a complete stop, whereas if you hit an opposite movement key to try to counter-strafe might cause you to move extra to opposite direction(if the timing isn't right) which causes messing up 1st bullet accuracy.

    • @amr1t_

    Ofc, sometimes he doesnt move when holding angle but what he meant is for entrying/clearing angle/retake situations.
    Mainly because make him harder target to hit, but kinda hard to hit enemy
    While, the people he mentioning, literally doesn't move when shooting, but make sure to kill enemy when shooting, EVENTHOUGH, by not moving he's an easier target.

    Your keyboard matters quite a lot too. If you have a keyboard that uses magnetic hall effect switches, like the wooting or the flux keyboard, then your movement is going to be much more responsive. Often what trips people up is the difference in reaction speed between their keyboard hand and their mouse hand.

    Lowkey Its not about not being able to stop and shoot , Those who've mastered counterstrafe to a point that they do it instinctively experience difficulties when trying to not move while shooting or taking a duel , I've been playing fps for so many years , and I am not good at counterstrafing but , my aim is steady and I don't move when i shoot , I insta stop and shoot as if I hit a wall and I'm stuck , but for shroud he does Know how to counterstrafe don't get me wrong he is a GOD at CS, PUBG and every game he touches, so what I'm saying is Shroud understands the mechanics behind the specific game rather than using his muscle memory from CS or anything but all these new pro's have a CS background so they can't lose their muscle memory, but for New valorant players people who have started Valo as their first fps game , would have a much easier time to stop their movement while shooting as they are conditioned that if they don't they miss their shot ,hence It's kinda understandable why Tenz feels this way.
