This is the one I would have too get, and get it All too lol, with the lights out, the candles lit, and some eerie music in the background. Another well informed review Rob 👍🏼🤗
I bought it all, too, Rob. And, just like I know I'm *not* supposed to do, after a couple of plays with the base set, I just threw EVERYTHING into the pile and played with all the cards inserted into the game, lol. I think you're supposed to keep the expansion pack content separate but I didn't and it was a blast.
This game is so brilliant and wish I could share the experience with my partner with a good coop mode...This game is alot like Paleo for me, but I greatly prefer this one.
Really hope this one finds a publisher. I feel like if there was enough development to tighten up the relationship of all the mechanisms (I feel like the plots and morale tracker could synergize quite a bit more with the rest of the game, both brilliant, but feel they need another round of polish...and co-op mode...x'D) and flesh out the campaign model, it'd be a banger! Just got his latest game Banners, which is also a joy to play!
I’m having trouble figuring out how to assemble the cards, but I didn’t get map and my add-ones came in baggies, not sealed packets. The stack of cards seems to be pre-sorted in some manner, but no clear logic. Do all cards of each type get mixed together, or they separated by level? From my end, the rules could easily have been clearer. Gameplay itself is probably ok, once I eventually sort out the cards.
I have this on my table right now! Awesome game that is so easy to play but also engrossing and fun. Brilliant design!
I like it so far
