Hi amazing thanks. I used to have perler beads as a kid and tempted to order some again now i am an adult. I am a new subscriber here and found you by searching perler beads on youtube. Also doing a 3D project on a glow squid would be cool.
i just made the head myself but with mini beads and while i got it together i may need to glue mine as the small pieces are so flexible that they dont want to stay in place properly, although that could be because i didn't leave it to cool enough b4 trying idk, i have taken it apart and put it back under a flat surface with weight on top of it to let it cool properly so i will edit this comment later to add my progress. EDIT: Update on my progress, i have now done the body and it's flattening now, although it didn't want to melt properly because of all the 1x1 parts that weren't connected and they stuck to my new large roll of tape a little too well XD, i had trouble peeling them off the tape after i ironed them so i could flip them and not every bead fused together until i did the other side (might be because i mixed perler beads with my other beads idk), i ended up just making them look more like pixel art which is what Minecraft textures are anyway so i dont mind the look. i guess that's what i get for picking such a complicated design for my 1st time making 3D Perler Bead Art XD, next time ill make a Minecraft Dog or something XD Oh and i also lost one of the pieces for the head so i had to make it again and now i have a pixelated piece where i didn't b4, good thing it's the bottom of the head so no one will really see it XD.
I'm glad you were able to make this as your first 3D project even though there were some challenges along the way! And with mini beads too, they're pretty difficult to iron and connect when you're just starting out so congrats on your axolotl and hope you keep trying some other designs too :D
@@QDCrafts yea mini beads are all i had, and yea it kind of failed, I manages to get the pieces together but they didn't melt together properly so I have some lose pieces and I lost a leg when putting him together XD, the 1x1 pieces are the weak points that didnt like to fuse properly and they stuck to my painters tap a little too well XD, so as I was pulling them off the tape they wanted to and did fall apart but went back together with another ironing. I cant try again as I run out of the blue colour making him so ill have to try another colour and try again, he is still good as a prototype/test project though, if I could add pictures to a UA-cam post i's show u but alas youtube doesn't allow that XD.
@@QDCrafts my next 3D creation will be a Minecraft Dog, probably much easier since they dont really have any pieces sticking out of them like the Axolotl does. I plan on doing all of the mobs eventually and characters from other games aswell, I might try a 3D Mario at some point idk.

It’s in her full axlotl tutorial. She said she usually keeps it at a low setting. and when she’s done ironing she flips the peg board over and pushes on it, then let’s it dry facing down. Hope that helped😁

Just because you’re the first to make something like this doesn’t mean nobody else has thought of it. It’s a huge claim to say someone copied you when they just did an idea that people requested them to do.
