The "continuum" slide around 5:30 is so simple yet so helpful.
    Thank you Jeff.

I’m not so sure about the word ‘cure’. Reversed, yes, ‘cured’, not so much. The reversal is entirely dependent upon maintaining life long ketosis.

Ah, but the renewed absence of tobacco smoke wasn't what cured your cancer.

The combustion of tobacco, even in its natural state, certainly has many carcinogenic compounds.

Being cured from an intoxication doesn't allow you to eat the toxin again … So you think you only put your intoxication into remission?

Lynn Roberts... lol what? Inhaling natural tobacco smoke certainly does cause cancer. One compound among many that is produced through the incomplete combustion of organic matter (including tobacco leaves) is benzo(a)pyrene. Benzo(a)pyrene is a lovely little compound that gets metabolized into a diol epoxide inside your body. This benzo(a)pyrene diol epoxide then directly reacts with your DNA and induces mutations :)

So abstaining from the problem doesn’t constitute a cure? It is like telling someone who’s lost 100 lbs to go back to their old way of eating because they have been cure of their obesity. Does maintenance of T2D mean they are required of eating Ketogenic or just low carb and healthy? Do you know?

I hope you speak at the 2018 Low Carb Conf in West Palm Beach? Really enjoyed your topic!

Going by the RER it looks like your body has to work 3.5 times as hard to burn a molecule of fat as it does to burn a molecule of carbohydrate. Can anyone explain why this is good.

      Work ?
What at the molecular level is at work?
      Oxidation ? Lipolysis ?
      and,
      what's the problem?

Problem is over eating, refine carb, oil, cheese, less active Over weight. Solution is balance diet ,lot of fiber rich food, walk one hour in sun, don’t eat late in night, manage stress, keep eye on weight. Is needed, not this diet or that diet.

Cheese and oil are not the problem. lol This video just showed you in both simple slides and pain staking scientific evidence that a diet higher in carbs result in more problems and a diet higher in fat and less in carbs results in more robust health and less disease.

"Balanced Diet" is a meaningless phrase. Who decides what amounts are "Balanced"? What Keto says is that the high carb diet is inherently unbalanced. If we call low fat high carb what it really is we'd call it the Ancel Keyes fad diet.

Ive heard "balanced diet" from so many people, yet some are eating no meat, for others eating huge amounts of grains. So what is balanced diet? Is 300 g of carbs balanced? How about 500g? Doesnt make sense..
