I got a laserdisc player around the time of this show for a couple hundred bucks. I was already a movie geek (college) but that laserdisc player made it into an obsession that is alive and well today.
Just in the last couple of years, with people dumping their physical media, it's become quite a spectacle at very little cost.
Wow, this was before video calls became a thing.

@ertertwert1 Well, they're close acquaintances. And plus they live in Chicago, which is a pretty dangerous city. So I would understand that, I mean, I would check on my friends daily to see if they were alright.
