- Dennis Seaton and Michael Grant. Musical Youth came up in the early 80s. The youngest reggae group ever been in England, Birmingham. They showed how the british youth at the time can play reggae. What a vibe. Rasorder Howell, reggae historian, visit me on facebook
October 2019, just seen them play at Butlins Bognor Regis 80's dance weekender. They were the best act by far, forgotten how young they were then. Keep playing guys, you made my weekend! 😎
So good to see y'all again~~HUGS from Texas!!
I do remember this in 1982 year when I was High School.
Good to see these two guys enjoying life. They deserve it. Too bad it’s just the two of them left but they seem to be making it work.
The two of them left performing. The other one that's alive, Kelvin Grant would rather be out of the spotlight being dubbed a media recluse. The two that are deceased are brothers Patrick (bassist) and Fredrick Junior Waite (drummer). Patrick passed away in the 90s due to complications of heart disease while Junior died in 2022 of an unknown cause.
I know all the words to the entire album. Still listen to it today.
Musical Youth, classic lads 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thanks rasorder, but the video doesn't play smooth.

MEMORIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Musical youth amo muito, todos estão de parabéns, quase todos os dia eu escuto sua músicas, me sinto privilegiado por também ser da minha época.
This video quality is HORRIBLE!!!
This was Henley on Thames then, I missed this brilliant act as the missus wanted to charge her fone in the car but to be fair it was my fault as we took a battery to charge fones etc but it went flat as I used it for the fridge to chill beer in a 12 volt cooler I did hear them tho
I do remember Musical Youth in 1982 year when I was in High School.
I was 16 year old in High School.
I love the eighties I love seeing old cars 🚗
And I bet they got ripped off the producers made the most not fair at all
Much love for these guys. What a great song.
Great reunion to make up for what they lost in time past.😇🎤
It does not play smooth
Shame the vid's a bit jerky. 😑
Good to see the old school sounds coming bk awesome
What is this frame rate it is crap
They played at a local mall and the lead singer's fly was open and we all suffered until him a fix it then we all laughed, happens to all mon
Enjoyable, but why is the video 3 frames per second?!!!
WEARING DAY GLOW IN A FIELD IN HENLEY WHO WANT TO REVIST THEIR PAST 3:50
Original drummie was maaaaad...plays just like drummie of aswad!
this was the band of our generation
Jamaican parents? Iron board and iron YES.
Born in Jamaica and then their families immigrated to England in the late 70's. Jamaicans have been immigrating to England since the 50's. My Mother left Jamaica in 1961 and immigrated to England where she met her future husband. Lucky for me.
John Morris Don’t know about the other 4 but Dennis Seaton the singer was born in Marston Green, Birmingham...there’s an interview elsewhere on UA-cam where he confirms it.
You were the giants in reggee music
There is still 4 alive
yes!!!!
Where are the other three?
Patrick Waite the bassist died suddenly in 1993 from renal failure. His elder brother, Junior the drummer, suffered a nervous breakdown and has been living under care since. Kevin, the lead singer, Michael's brother has been performing solo but does not want to have anything to do with Musical youth.
@@Boomslang1 he had a heart attack
@@melaninmoments9948 Oh thanks Fam. Such a tragic loss to a huge talent
@@Boomslang1 Junior also died but Micheal the little boy who used to also sing refused to join the band ,and he is the brother of the keyboard player.
